It's almost so bad it's good. There's nothing particularly good about it but also nothing bad. And in a space with upwards of 90% scam tokens that counts for quite alot.

Actually never heard of this. Please tell more. Or you can refer to in depth articles. Sounds like a great story.

Crypto conglomerate Digital Currency Group used funds it borrowed from its struggling Genesis unit to invest in another subsidiary’s products, highlighting the delicate links across billionaire Barry Silbert’s empire. by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

It was fairly obvious that they were a mess. Genesis lost $175 million but DCG could only lend them $140M. Considering these should be pretty small sums for firms of this size, that is pretty shocking.

Central banks should buy bitcoin as a hedge against sanctions by other countries, Harvard Ph.D. candidate says by Harold838383 in CryptoCurrency

This is so obvious. You have a free-market non-state-controlled currency that seems to have a huge future and don't need to trust currencies of other nations that rise or fall based on shenanigans by politicians or their Central Bank.

Also, don't it twisted. Many nations are holding huge crypto reserves from what they seized from criminals. China is actually one of the largest BTC whales right now. 'Crypto crackdowns' hold many purposes.

Basically, crypto has a much higher potential than traditional assets but much higher risk. It is heavily volatile. If you invest over 10 years vs 10 years traditional assets you will have a much higher rate of return in crypto. However, at any point in those 10 years you may have a MUCH lower rate of return in crypto than compared to stocks.

Think of it like someone a very active person who exercises intensely a lot. They have more physical ability and may get a lot more done than a person who doesn't exercise but are also prone to much more injury due to much higher stresses on the body.
