I run an independent coffee shop and we’ve been debating this lately as we’ve had a lot of folks come in with outside food and drink, like chain coffee, packed lunches that they ask us to microwave, and takeaways from down the road. What’s the limit for what you’d bring in to a coffee shop or cafe?

Edit for more context: thanks for reassuring me I’m not going crazy. We do have a sign on the door and anyone doing this does get told pretty sharp ish to get rid or get out, should have made that very clear that we don’t tolerate it. I’m in a pretty studenty city and uni is back so the last few weeks the level of ignorance and entitlement has been pretty high. I mainly posted because I’ve been baffled by the sheer number of people pulling this shit lately, we have to ask people to leave I’d say a couple of times a day. They usually act so confused and outraged I was starting to question whether I was being unreasonable so thanks for reassuring me that it’s everyone else being pricks.
