Currencies are way better than having items. Blizzard should, however, have some way of converting currencies to and from timeless badges or something. It'd be awesome to make some of these old currencies useful/relevant.

Agreed. Except I'd like to see it taken a step further and have all the old currencies be able to exchange into each other, each at a different and relevant value (which would probably have to be re-evaluated at the beginning of each expansion). And all at some level of loss.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise the next expansion Bliz implemented a two currency system for both PvP and PvE and just cashed out the currency at the end of each tier and season instead of adding a unique currency for everything.

Blizzard: removes diverse currencies

Players: How is it possible that an entire land in space has the same currency as Northrend and Original Azeroth. The game has no character. The one thing that held my opinion of this game

But half of these currencies is pvp and alot of those got removed for being pointless, and many were introduced in tbc/vanilla
