I'm sorry you lost your dad and I so relate to this. Just looking at the water gives me such peace. I'm glad you did that.

Yes, you get a random partner. I have been working with people this morning in the U.S., Canada and Germany. It's cool.

i have a family member who i’m worried about who is overweight and getting to the older side of life… does anyone know how i could attempt to help them become healthier? by [deleted] in HealthyFood

[–]mintleaf_bergamot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would encourage you to educate yourself on the concepts of Health at Every Size and support your family member with love and compassion. Everyone thinks they know what's best for another person -- but we are each an individual who can ultimately only make decisions for ourselves. Experience tells me that "helpful tips" from well-intentioned friends and family is very shameful and makes me less inclined to make healthful decisions.

Water always makes me happy. People not always. So, I love driving up LSD to Evanston and those areas and walking along the lake paths.

hot or cold tea? I've been using coconut sugar in my hot tea for sweetner. Stevia also doesn't taste horrible for iced tea, and it's more natural than most of the other sweetners, but can still give me some blood sugar spikes.

I was recently in Glacier. What a beautiful place! I heard there were a lot of bears, but never caught sight of one. Great capture.

In general, those are the people who get the attention. I wanted to give some attention to females and people of color.

Church is always a connection point. If that's not your jam, then I would say meet your neighbors, get involved in club sports or cultural activities.

What was Fayetteville/NWA like in the ‘80s/‘90s? by afccollin in fayetteville

I beg to differ. While Jim Walton and perhaps another of the Walton family served on the Council there were many very capable and intelligent leaders who had a broad vision for NWA.

A few years ago, our Akita suffered this type of injury. Turns out the nationwide expert on correction is based in St Charles. He fixed our dog up well and she lived several more active years. The vets name is Dr Robert Cook. He ONLY does surgeries. His practice is Valley Veterinary Clinic.

Loved the Old Applegate Fair, also driving up 71 to Fayetteville and then taking 112 all the way in to Bentonville. What was that great restaurant that used to be where the Promenade is now? One of the best things in Rogers in the 80s and 90s was the SuzyQ drive in.

The NWA Council was really instrumental in driving and shaping the path forward.

I've traveled to several cities similar in size to Spokane. There definitely is an uptick in homelessness. But Spokane seemed to be more affected.

I'd suggest posting this on a woman's advocacy subreddit. You'll find a caravan of people willing to help. Also if you're willing to reach out to an area church they might be willing to get you where you're going
