Hi Reddit! Iāve been a science journalist for almost two decades but 'The Man from the Futureā' is my first bookāand itās now an Amazon science book of the year! I first came across JVN during a high school computer science class. We were learning about the von Neumann architecture, the standard design for almost all computers today. But his nameās come up repeatedly since thenāeven more so recently and in wildly different contexts. I knew right from the get-go I didnāt want to write a standard biography. I am Felix Flicker, a condensed matter physicist who believes this science can show us magick in the world around us, with a sprinkling of influence from Ursula K Le Guin, Philip Pullman and Douglas Adams.
The modern term for wizardry is condensed matter physics. It is the study of the world around us - the states of matter and how they emerge from the quantum realm. Thanks to its practical magic we can make lasers which cut through solid metal, trains which hover in mid-air, and crystals which light our homes. It is one of the best-kept secrets in science.

Hi! Iām a graduate student at The Ohio State University. I both have and study a lesser-known condition called Misophonia.
A new consensus definition of Misophonia describes it as āa disorder of decreased tolerance to specific sounds or stimuli associated with such sounds, [which] are experienced as unpleasant or distressing and tend to evoke strong negative emotional, physiological, and behavioral responses that are not seen in most other people.ā Feel like you want to scream when someone is chewing food or clicking a pen? Thatās this!
Iāve published work showing the wide variety of sounds that can be bothersome in misophonia. Recently, Iāve demonstrated underlying brain differences in how certain regions are connected ā challenging current views and providing a foundation for future research. I've been a ghostwriter for nearly a decade now and have written over fifty books in both fiction and non-fiction. I've collaborated with literary agents, traditional publishers, celebrity clients, and am affiliated with a variety of ghostwriting marketplaces and agencies. I am Ezekiel Hauge , a game designer from Norway.
For the last 2-3 years I've pitched, planned and executed plan to create a brain trauma rehabilitation VR software for patients. We've tested it on over 25 brain stroke patients with various degrees of severity. "Sunnaas Specialist Hospital" has been our partner in the project together with "LHL Hjerneslag" and "Dam Foundation" who funded it.
I am the deputy chairperson to NONEDA - an interest organisation for game development companies in Norway. And I am currently working on a free graphic stress test tool that's available on Steam (Ezbench Benchmark).
