Arizona’s 22 tribes deserve better - as does every Arizonan. Her silence and lack of action continues to echo loudly.  I stand by my prior statement: the campaign manager must go and Lake must apologize directly to tribal nations, something which could have happened today.5/6

If can't apologize for racism put out by her campaign manager, then who can? Leaders take responsibility for their team's actions - especially when it comes from "the most important person on the campaign." 4/6

But our strong bipartisan relationships are based on mutual respect and trust.  Today’s forum with these #GOP candidates did little to foster that kind of relationship.  2/6

I specifically chose the meeting of Water Advisory Task Force to make this announcement because of her strong leadership and commitment to helping our State and region address this crisis. I look forward to continuing our strong partnership in the coming days.

I want to commend for her leadership in obtaining the critical resources need to help address this regional crisis and also for her strong advocacy that we put these resources to use for long term infrastructure, not short term water sales.

If we want our democracy to function, we have to show up this election for the Governors, Secretaries of State and the candidates down the ballot who are going to protect voting rights and our electoral process. Because these seats wield a lot of power, and that power matters.

Including thousands of #NativeVote that ultimately decided local, state and national elections!

On Election Night, Trump’s advisors told him that he didn’t have a factual basis to declare victory. Yet not only did Trump decide to declare victory, he also called for vote counting to stop. Stopping would have violated federal & state laws & disenfranchised millions of voters.

In the worst drought in 1200 years, basin tribes are at risk of losing, once again, our hard fought for water rights. As sovereign nations we have the resiliency, innovation and traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) to be the moral compass for sustainable solutions. Sapo!
