I believe Ryan Cohen is going to distribute his new book series to the GameStop retail investors via an NFT Dividend during the week of December 2nd through December 9th.

The Teddy.com site launched today, November 19th, 2022. The site sells a series of Children's books about Teddy and his family. There was also a Wall Street Journal piece about Ryan Cohen that was published at exactly 12am that mentions the books and seems to be fairly positive.

  • The books were published by Teddy publishing which filed for several trademarks on January 4th, 2022. The different filings have different classification codes. One is 016 and the other is 009.

What is the difference in Trademark class code 016 and 009.
What is the difference in Trademark class code 016 and 009.
  • Classification code 016 seems to have been filed for the physical set of the book series. Words like Printed, cardboard, paper, etc.

  • Classification code 009 was filed for downloadable fiction & non-ficition books.

  • After looking into International Classification codes for trademarks (not exactly a hobby of mine) 009 seems to be where Books in the form of an NFT would be filed. Also, once I clicked the 009 in the screenshot above it showed me a list of things that would be classified under 009 and here is one you'll find interesting:

009 Class Code Examples
  • Also, if you purchase the books it says they will ship in 2-3 weeks.

  • What is halfway between 2 weeks from now and 3? December 7th would be Wednesday of that week (right in the middle and exactly 3 months since our last earnings call).

I am by no means a Trademark Law or Class Expert so correct me if needed. This is also my first Superstonk Post by the way.

Hey guys it's me again u/aint_lion. If any of you recall my previous post about who I am and my understanding of video game business and the future of GameStop, then you'll know I'm pretty all in and have brought many others into this shit show along the way. So far:

Friend 1: 1,500 shares

Friend 2: 160 shares

Friend 3: 120 shares

Friend 4: $5,000 worth

Friend 5: $3,000 worth

Brother 1: $2,000 worth.

Brother 2: 50 shares.

All are Direct Registered.

Friend 1, who is my best friend growing up, has a dad who owns a massive steel manufacturing plant in Colorado. He was almost like a father figure for me growing up. Incredibly successful. Incredibly wealthy. He makes millions of dollars per year. He has agreed to provide with a $50,000 loan at 5% interest for 3 months so that I can buy more GameStop. I have also decided to close down my storefronts at the end of the year and liquidate all inventory. I will have no more overhead and will be able to put tens of thousands towards GME every month starting in January.

I am meeting with my friends dad on Friday to get the 50k and to talk about him investing in GameStop through Computershare. He wanted me to put together a slide show presentation to show him why GME is such a great investment right now. I happily obliged.

We've discussed GameStop for a total of ~2 hours already. So he gets the general situation. Now I need to provide him with data, facts, research as to why he should throw a metric shit ton of money at direct registered shares of GME (and at this price point, what a deal!!).

I thought I'd start with what happened in January 2021. Short interest reported at 140%. SEC report showing volume data, Citadel and Point Sus bailing out Melvin. Discuss swaps. Show the current DRS numbers and the rate of direct registration. Point to the shifts GameStop has made to their business model with the new executive team, clearing debt, cash on hand, warehouses, e-commerce pivot, crypto wallet system, NFT marketplace, Web 3 gaming integration with Immutable, etc.

Please comment links to information, posts, etc that would be helpful in creating my presentation. Recommendations are appreciated.

Announcement: https://twitter.com/0xferg/status/1588548804726255617

TL;DR: The entire business model of Web3 gaming is under threat thanks to smart contracts avoiding royalties (basically how games are going to monetize). GameStop now has a live, in-production solution for games to guarantee royalties.

Hi everyone, really excited to share a critical piece of infrastructure for GameStop and Immutable winning the gaming race. We spend enormous periods of time thinking about how to design the best protocol and marketplace for games - and I want to keep you all in the loop with the product decisions we are making.

The context:

In case you've missed, over the last month some serious changes have occurred to royalties.

  • Many marketplaces (X2Y2, SudoSwap) have gained market share by routing around royalties. This means creators and games don't receive the royalties they initially established their business models on.

  • Major marketplaces like MagicEden have been forced to take their royalties to 0, because of this competitive pressure.

This is awful for gaming, and mainstream adoption of Web3. Creators and games should be able to monetize via royalties, and it's fundamentally more player aligned: make money when players trade, rather than selling things up-front.

Immutable is the only protocol live today where you can have enforceable protocol royalties. We're extending this to anyone on Ethereum with our latest announcement.

What does this mean / why does this matter?

  • Immutable Royalties means mainstream games who want can build on GameStop NFT can do so with the guarantees that they will receive guaranteed royalties - live today

  • Marketplaces like GameStop can guarantee better monetization in the long-run by receiving permanent creator-royalties on created assets. This also opens up brand new forms of monetization for marketplaces with strong distribution like GME, which can be taken anywhere.
