Needful Things, by Stephen King. It’s on for young and old now

The Pelenopiad, by Margaret Atwood. We see so little of Penelope in the Odyssey. She’s clever, patient, faithful, and that’s all. If someone ever asked her directly, there might be more to it…

The Truce, by Primo Levi. If This Is A Man was a descent into hell. The Truce is a gradual climb back out.

Space Demons, by Gillian Rubinstein. Four kids and the weirdest computer game in the world. Like Under The Cat’s Eye was, this is something I know I read as a kid but don’t actually remember very clearly. Going back over it again now, as an adult, there are specific sentences, specific turns of phrase, that I remember very clearly…which is honestly really weird to experience, considering how many holes my memory of the book as a whole has in it!
