China Delays Indefinitely the Release of G.D.P. and Other Economic Statistics by StickAFork in worldnews

It falls victim to both sidesism. I’m not going to blow sunshine up you about any of the systems mentioned earlier, but I think people born in more open societies vastly underestimate just how fucked things were in the USSR and other authoritarian regimes.

No stopping Allen there if there isn’t a mess up on the snap or something g

I know pretty late and maybe doesn’t matter too much at this point. But Jones definitely got away with a trip on the Allen sack from last drive.

You know barring injury or really bad penalty/uncalled penalty, I’ll be satisfied with this game win or lose. Obviously winning >>>>>>> losing. But game lived up to the hype.

[Highlight] Burrow gets hit hard and a roughing the passer is called. by keithohara in nfl

[–]Scaryclouds 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yea defender clearly lowers his head a bit and hits Burrow in the head. Certainly well within the guidelines of RTP.

In the grand scheme of theses should that hit be considered RTP? Debatable, but this is FARRRR from the Brady/Goff/Carr calls of last week.

Referee Brad Allen's crew assigned to work Chiefs-Bills game by ChiefsfaninLV in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Scaryclouds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, really surprised he was chosen then. I wonder what the selection process is like?

Wish we would have had Blakeman’s crew. Or what was the crew from the Cards game? They seemed like they did a good job.

Maybe if they are doing a shit job Arrowhead will terrify them into submission while the players get fired up 😂

Fenton has been having a rough season no question, but really wish we had him today. Putting him up against Digg or Davis would scare me, but I think he could hold up well against Mackenzie(sp?) or Knox.

Really sucks we are missing both McDuffie and Gay as well.

[–]Scaryclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea same, Bills are a very strong vertical team and that seems to be one of our weakest areas. Definitely worried we have repeats of last years regular season game of our DBs (Sorenson) getting burned deep.

Mahomes would still be markedly better. Even Mahomes “down year” last year was nearly as good as Allen’s best year in 2020, and better than Allen’s year last year.

Allen is an elite QB and I’m nervous for today, but he’d have to take another step to really move in front of Mahomes.

[Kleiman] FOX: The Panthers will only trade Christian McCaffrey for an offer that includes multiple 1st round picks. by RedFredTV in nfl

[–]Scaryclouds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Injured too often though. Dude hasn’t even played half a season since 2019. The max value is going to be from a win now team that needs a RB to “get them over the edge”. But if you have serious questions about the players availability in the post season when it really matters, that craters his value.

If CMC rarely missed a game, then yea he could probably get a 2nd.

You probably should move on from Staley though. Dude is a trash-tier HC, and actively makes bad decisions that cost you or nearly cost you games.

[SeahawkNerd] This moment on the Richard Sherman podcast with Marshawn Lynch perfectly encapsulates why Russell Wilson's personality rubs people the wrong way. Apparently even teammates have to go through his manager to get a hold of him. by CharlieEchoNovember in nfl

[–]Scaryclouds 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s because it’s relatable and somewhat mundane. We all have experienced someone who thought they were too good for everyone. The criminal behavior, it’s harder think about because it’s generally removed from what most people have experienced.

There’s also a degree of Wilson is a star player(?), at a key position. Easier to forget if a lineman or defensive back has been credibly accused of a crime.

I just think it’s great how he signs for the biggest contract in Broncos history, says he’s “not about the money, but the championships”, buys a massive house, and then proceeds to blow ass on the field.

It’s so bad, with Hackett blow ass on top of it, I actually kinda feel sorry for Denver fans. I fucking HATE the Broncos, but damn even I think what is happening to them is a little too much.

Yea funding seems pretty silly and doesn't scale well. I guess over time it might begin to snowball (guess I haven't gotten deep enough into a game yet) but feels just better to run spoils on some nations you don't care about.

Maybe Tulsi is taking marching orders from Moscow, it's certainly a possibility that I won't deny. It's also possible she just genuinely believes shit things and/or sees an opportunity for building a platform saying these awful things.

I'm sure there's a lot of different kinds, but I wonder if it's mostly of the PR issue kind or actual serious criminal or seriously unethical behavior.

PR issue = Racist, misogynistic, homophobic views being widespread among owners.

Criminal = Fraud of some kind

Unethical = Heavily orchestrated ploys to extort money from local government (i.e. stadium funding, having zero intent to move, but publicly suggesting otherwise)
