Bitcoin is the currency of the Internet: a distributed, worldwide, decentralized digital money. Unlike traditional currencies such as dollars, bitcoins are issued and managed without any central authority whatsoever: there is no government, company, or bank in charge of Bitcoin. As such, it is more resistant to wild inflation and corrupt banks. With Bitcoin, you can be your own bank.

When r/Bitcoin moderators began censoring content and banning users they disagreed with, r/btc became a community for free and open crypto discussion. This happened long before the creation of Bitcoin Cash. Today, r/btc users can discuss any Bitcoin-related topic without fear of moderator retaliation, while r/Bitcoin and r/CryptoCurrency are still heavily censored. Over the years /r/btc became community of historians & torchbearers, preservers of Satoshi's Bitcoin for future generations.

This is a subreddit for discussion of forking Bitcoin to allow a free-market and consent-based approach to Bitcoin's / Bitcoin Cash's progress. In Bitcoin Cash we brought together like minded people - users, developers, miners - to carry on the experiment that is Bitcoin. We stand ready to fork again should it become necessary to protect Bitcoin to ensure the option of peer-to-peer electronic cash can survive and thrive.

71% has not been moved in 6 months, 82.5% has not moved in 3 months, and 92% has not moved in the past month.

https://messari.io/asset/bitcoin-cash/metrics/all

The price has moved quite low with very few of the long term BCH holders getting involved in trading.

In other words the recent price action is just noise during an illiquid time for all crypto markets and does not reflect what investors feel their BCH is worth. As a result it is not possible to buy much BCH even though the price says it is extremely cheap.

Lastly futures are trading tens of millions of paper BCH while the actual market barely has a small fraction of that traded on spot markets.

eg. a person/people market sell 500k BCH and want $50 million dollars cash right now, but no one is under an obligation to give it to them, maybe if they sell more slowly in line with demand they can have receive a much better price in line with what other market participants think it is worth. But when you market sell you are willing to take low prices, and thats what they chose to do.

TLDR: There are millions of BCH, but say someone market sells 500k BCH which temporarily crashes the price, that doesnt mean the other BCH holders will also market sell their holdings, and the metrics show that they are not.
