I don’t know why bananas became a metaphor for crazy. It’s a masterfully constructed fruit. It is simultaneously well protected, easy to carry, quick to eat, sweet, and delicious.
Bananas have gotten a bad undeserved rep. Now fucking pomegranates on the other hand…

Man, the problem with taking my kids to afterschool classes every day is that at some point the other parents will have noticed that I haven't showered and have been wearing the same clothes all week.

Reading about the Russian mobilization, I remember the time my group of 25 buddies played paintball against 3 ex-special forces vets. After the end of the round, we lost 25 guys and someone accidentally got a paintball splatter on one of those dudes' rifles.

One interesting thing is how there are so many ppl indignant with this idea because they think it's anti-advice. It absolutely isn't.
There's nothing wrong with saying, "Hi, I see you're struggling with <insert whatever>, can I offer some insight?

I went by to my CrossFit class today. The last time I worked out was… three days before the quarantine.
I do not approve of my past lifestyle.

Was at a training once where the facilitator said “Unsolicited advice is criticism. Always.”
Half the room audibly gasped/ objected.
The other half shouted a chorus of yes/thank you/ amen.
She offered no quarter to the “just being helpful” brigade. It was glorious.

I'm waiting for the first AI novel where someone writes a prompt like, "Tell me a story like Harry Potter but set in South America in a magical jujitsu school" and then the AI software derivates the source, changes up a few names and places, and then pubs it as their own.

I'm sure the food is great, but if the best food in SF is a gas station's side hustle, then I have some questions about the cuisine in SF.

Last week I visited Argentinian restaurant, Vinoma, which makes a variety of tasty empanadas off Highway 101 in Sonoma County. Yelp recently ranked them as the best Bay Area restaurant out of 100. What’s more? They happen to be at a gas station. sfgate.com/food/article/b

The #reviewoftheday comes from and it’s ‘The Art of Prophecy’ by - ‘The world-building is fascinating, and the history that’s hinted at is some of the best I can remember. I loved every one of these characters’!!

Wow. What a piece of shit. He also had a terrible parenting, and is now just projecting his insecurities.
Listen, kids, the world is a better place because of you. You have the potential to do great things. Make the most of your opportunities. Unlike Dennis Prager.

Dennis Prager complains about a school sign reading 'The world is better because you are in it': "What a stupid message. Plus it's not true. What has any 5th grader done to have made the world better because he or she is in it?"

I just finished THE ART OF PROPHECY and it was absolutely brilliant & one of my fave books of all time!
The review referenced here nails my feelings exactly.
I read the audiobook & WOW, I was blown away by 's skill in bringing each of the 4 POV characters to life!

Snippet: Through three sections, he grows his tale of a spoiled young hero into a world-sweeping epic that I didn’t want to put down.

Sometimes, an article is so poorly titled, petty, and stupid I have to look up the authors.
Guy donates $3B company to charity to combat climate change. All they can about it is phrase it as if he was trying to skip out on taxes, as if not taking a profit is a sin or some sort.

Sigh. A former HS friend is railing about the railroad unions being full of lazy people. His closing argument is "if it's so hard, get your cdl and work 70hrs a week like me (a trucker)"
My dude, sounds like you need a union more than anyone else.

I'm really enjoying . Solid story, gorgeous visuals.
Many have commented on the show's immense budget, but I'm here for it. Amazon has so much money, might as well make art.
