People give Pelosi and Schumer a lot of flack these days, but in a time of crisis, like on Jan 6, their level of proactive competence and governing ability is reassuring and straight up patriotic.

Per the NFL’s own research, as shared in Tretter’s 2020 letter:

“Players have a 28% higher rate of non-contact lower extremity injuries when playing on artificial turf. Of those non-contact injuries, players have a 32% higher rate of non-contact knee injuries on turf and a staggering 69% higher rate of non-contact foot/ankle injuries on turf compared to grass.”

Get rid of artificial turf, I obviously hate that our players are always getting injured, but I want our team to beat the other because of better play and athleticism, not because an opposing teams starting player went down with a serious or season ending injury.

Agreed, though at the risk of sounding overly cynical, I think it important to note that when it comes to disavowing anti-black and antisemtic messages, Republican priorities appear to match up with demographic voting patterns. It’s not a morality stance, one group has more political crossover potential for them.
