This is my place, that I commissioned Mr. Chopkins to capture for me. Tomorrow it will be 10 years that I have lived here and a lot has happened in that time… marriage, separation, cancer, the life and death of a couple of pets. Who knows how much longer I’ll choose to stay here, but this artwork captures it perfectly for me, and I can’t wait to get it framed!

It does have 16Gb of RAM, but the containers aren't doing a huge amount. Certain operations definitely feel slow. But yeah, its put in a lot of faithful service!

I'd like to get a Microserver Gen10 Plus but they seem hard to find in Australia.

I'm running FreeNAS 11.3 U4.1 successfully on an old HP Microsoft N54L... yes, old! Including a small VM for Docker containers and the like.

Am I probably ok to upgrade to TrueNAS, i.e. they haven't removed any support for older hardware like mine?

I was at RBWH today and noticed that they have relaxed their position on face masks. For ~5 weeks it has been mandatory to wear masks at RBWH; I had been attending daily up to last Thursday for radiation therapy.

But Microsoft are unlikely to add Android TV support to their XCloud app since it competes with an Xbox in the context of playing games on a TV? Yeah, you can sideload it, but if they really only want you to use it with a mobile phone they probably aren't going to take advantage of the ALLM+LLD APIs?

I had to get my MBP keyboard replaced recently... $0 under the special Apple Repair Program. The genius said “Looks like there’s a bit of delamination occurring on your screen, shall we fix that too?” Price, also $0. And I had the MBP back in two days.

I was frankly floored by the quality of this service.
