The Georgia Department of Community Health serves as the lead agency for Georgia Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids®, and oversees the Healthcare Facility Regulation Division, State Health Benefit Plan, and State Office of Rural Health, among other divisions. 

Through effective planning, purchasing and oversight, DCH provides access to affordable, quality health care to millions of Georgians, including some of the state’s most vulnerable and underserved populations.

HCBS Rate Study: Statewide Cost Report Webinar

The Department of Community Health invites providers and agencies for the Georgia Elderly & Disabled Waiver Program (EDWP) and Independent Care Waiver Program (ICWP) to submit information requested in a newly developed cost reporting tool. DCH Enrolling Lactation Consultants as a New Provider Type

The Georgia Department of Community Health is enrolling Lactation Consultants as a new provider type. Lactation Consultants must meet the qualifications outlined in the Georgia Lactation Consultants Practice Act as well as the requirements of the Georgia Medicaid program.
