“She got under his skin.”

That all the pundits had the same verbiage. It's very common for the media to do this collectively.

Lets be real Trump ate Kamala up

crazywe
commented

I don’t feel that Trump did a spectacular job performance-wise, but he at least talked specifics about what he thinks. But he really blew it on a lot of questions. Healthcare was terrible, Kamala black was terrible. Kamala didn’t have a really have a standout bad moment, but to me it’s clear that she is just along for the ride (coronation) and she isn’t boss. She has bosses. Even as president.

“She got under his skin.”

Am I the only one that noticed that immediately after the debate all the pundits from every major network/newspaper started using this exact phrasing? Even Chris Christie was, who looked like he was interviewing for a job. Blows my mind that they do this openly all the time and only a handful of people are able to see through the charade of it all. I don’t know how to get the average, casual, “barely follows politics” person to see through the BS of the media.

That is so fascinating! Thanks for sharing. I'm shocked you got the images you did. Of course it would come from Southern California, the birth of all things film lol. So cool to see casual photos from that time.

Did you find the roll inside of an old camera or was it already rolled up when you found it? Did you find it in a dry, hot climate? Very curious! I can't imagine it came straight out of a camera. Although I guess you can get lucky if it's a tough camera to open and the knob that turns the roll along is hard to resist spinning.

I agree, Film Rescue International IS the way. I've had great results with them as well. I was hoping that's who you used. No wonder you got good results. :) Incredible find and major props to you for treating it with the care it deserves!

Same thing happened to me. I was never a crazy Beatles guy and didn’t “get it”… until I did. I think learning guitar and appreciating songwriting + musicianship helped steer me the right way. I also think the Across the Universe movie and late 2000s-early 2010 Beatles resurgence was just annoying to me at a time when I didn’t understand and left a bad taste in my mouth.

About a Girl is easy, especially to practice a really easy solo. Standard tuning. Lots of fun to play.

So when is Kamala Harris going to do a press conference or a sit down interview?

Because a lot of people can get past the tone of someone's voice and listen to the words they are saying.

So when is Kamala Harris going to do a press conference or a sit down interview?

We all obviously know why she hasn't. She'll have to answer to questions she doesn't want to answer to and she'll risk looking bad. It blows my mind that a leading candidate for president was hand selected by the democratic party and she hasn't spoken to a journalist since. We are far beyond Crazytown, USA.

I found a tin with a roll of 8mm Kodachrome-II. It doesn't have the original box... the tin isn't sealed, and when I open the tin up the roll inside has the band on it that says "Replace this band after film has been exposed." Is there anyway that I can tell if it's actually been exposed? Will the film be spooled differently onto the roll if it has gone through a camera first? Any info would be very appreciated. Thanks!

For a little kid growing up right now, they are going to view this time as the best of times, when things were simpler. I think as we grow older we make things difficult and more complicated. Death becomes increasingly impending with every year, and we are afraid. It’s all the buildup of our egos/feelings being pounded on for 30, 40, 50 years straight. Peace on earth sure would be great.

Barre chord hand position

crazywe
commented

Do a thumbs up with your fretting hand, then while maintaining the thumbs up best you can, place your fingers in position for a power chord. One thing that helped me a lot was pretending like I didn’t have a thumb and pressing my fingers against the frets without resistance pressure from my thumb. Obviously that resistance helps and is necessary, but you want it more for stabilization rather than squeezing the neck. I get a lot of that “resistance” by pressing against the neck with my non-thumb fingers then using my other arm (that is resting on the body of the guitar) to push back against the neck. Hopefully that makes sense. I saw someone mention it that way in a reddit comment on this sub years ago and it helped me tremendously to think about it that way.
