There was a guy with 0 followers on Twitter who said he had sources that told him Carson had neck issues and was going to miss serious time. This was when Pete Carroll was saying it was “day to day”. It became a meme, but ended up becoming accurate

I’m glad something like this exists, especially in the NFL CBA. This game is brutal and these players deserve protection if something this serious happens

More from Rapoport:

SEA will officially release him with a failed physical designation. Under the CBA, that allows Carson to receive several million in injury protection benefits. Seattle does right by him.

Lol, in Keefer’s pod, he said Luck and his wife built a house super close to the facility a few years ago and that he’s been living there

He still lives very close to the practice facility

After listening to Keefer’s mini series on Luck, this makes so much sense. I miss him so much, but I’m glad he’s happy

THT vs. Lonnie Walker comparison via DPM by Marcus-Fart in lakers

How can you possibly draw that conclusion? Monk was the player who he was talking about that had no business taking the minimum. And what happened? He way outperformed his contract and got a way bigger deal.

The biggest signing of last offseason still has yet to play a game. Nunn was absolutely a steal at the MLE too, and they took flyers on minim guys who played solid perimeter defense at the forward position. I’m not really sure what you’re getting at here.

They’re banking on his youth. So far, Lonnie hasn’t shown any promise defensively. His shooting has been a major question mark as well. There’s no real indicator that he’ll magically take a leap this season, but I’d absolutely welcome it.

I’d also imagine this signing makes THT much more expendable. I’m not optimistic Lonnie provides defense, but I’d welcome it

Literally no advanced metric liked Lonnie Walker lol, this isn’t the own you think it is.

Lol and there were people on here saying the Lonnie walker signing was a good pickup

According to Bob Kravitz of the Athletic, the Pacers rejected the Lakers offer of "Russell Westbrook, a first-rounder in 2027 and two second-rounders" for Buddy Hield and Myles Turner. by T0HAC in lakers

[–]UnloadedBakedPotato 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Then why haven’t they? Buddy has been a name floated in trade talks for years now. Myles name has come up as well. If they could trade them to these different teams, why haven’t they done so already?

People are acting like this is the NFL hall of fame lmao put him in. He’s the second best QB to play for the Indianapolis colts and had a team full of Reddit mods one game away from the Super Bowl

A lot of folks don’t watch basketball outside of lakers games and don’t have a clue what they’re talking about

The problem that I have is the difference in 97s this year vs last year. Buxtons 95 was much better than his all-star card, and we got that earlier in the year. You’re right, not everyone needs max hitting on both sides, but we should be at a point now where good hitting cards are starting to get notably better.

There are going to be advantages and disadvantages for cards throughout the game cycle. I think the disadvantages are more prevalent. I’m persevrating on this buxton card, but it’s probably the best example of how the game has taken a step back

Thought about it, the speed is too slow for me. Would rather have the stubs than grind for a bench bat, those hitting stats do look pretty godly though

Yeah hard disagree here.

Last year was awesome for a lot of reasons. It was the first time I was able to play an MLB game in 15+ years (on Xbox), the rewards were fantastic, and the programs were great. I spent a lot of time on MLB the show 21 because I wanted to grind for these cards.

This year, I have no desire to grind. The rewards aren’t worth it. POTM buxton, Semien, and Schwarber were in my lineup for a long time, until TA4 dropped. The grind was perfectly fine for it. Now, I only have Devers, because he’s been the only one worth it. The grind has gotten longer, and the cards aren’t worth it due to a couple reasons.

And I think this program is a perfect example of why people complaining about the power creep was foolish. All-star weekend is maybe the most hyped program of the year (not counting finest), and a majority of these cards are worse than the future of the franchise cards that got released over a month ago. They may be 97s, but they’re awful 97s. Anywhere from 1/3-1/4 of these all star cards are viable, which is awful. Last year, I had maybe a dozen or so of those cards on my team for a couple months. I don’t think I’ll have more than 5 this year. I haven’t even gotten into why getting rid of TA programs eas a colossal mistake, but that’s for another day.

It just feels like a wasted program tbh. I’d much rather have the juiced cards then the ass cards because it keeps me playing, which is the most important part. The desire to play this year isn’t nearly as strong, because the cards aren’t worth it. Everyone having stacked teams by July doesn’t bother me, because if I have one, my opponent will have one, so it feels like a pretty even playing field, with skill being the main differentiator. The cards last year were fun to use and were great, this entire program has been a massive L, and to be honest, this game has been an L for most of the year
