He’s a more than competent receiver that had 2 1000 yard seasons in a row before Higgins came into town. He operates really well as a complementary receiver.

I would put him in the Gabe Davis range without chase. You absolutely have to play him, because you will hate yourself if he goes off on your bench.

He’s a second round pick that busted. You can believe you have all the talent in the world, but at some point you have to realize what you are and make the best career out of it. Plenty of guys stay in the league for 7+ years as a JAG because they accept their role.

I think Andy Reid is literally the GOAT at scheming for players and toney has the talent to be a top offensive weapon.

If anything, them giving up that draft capital for him says just how much they see in him, despite his off the field concerns.

Then again that capital might not mean shit when you look at how bad they have been at drafting WR talent lately. Overall it just feels like a “Andy for his guy” moment

Yeah it just feels petty. Being an athlete on any NY team takes a different kind of mental for sure though.

I mean he legit showed up to camp this year not knowing the playbook.

He didn’t study it his rookie season when he got hurt in camp too. That’s why it took him so long to see the field.

As a giants fan, it really makes me sad knowing how talented he is.

But I am also sick of him. Giants twitter is nothing but people posting DMs from Toney where he’s talking shit to them. Not exactly the best look from a dude who had character concerns. Especially when all the shit talking was him saying he telling people posting about it that he doesn’t have a character problem.

There was one specifically where a guy said he has injury problems and he hopes the best for him, and toney DM’d him saying check your bank account and shit like that.

He has all the athletic talent in the world. That coaching staff has just completely failed in developing him as an RB.

He literally played last year with a fractured shin.

They drafted a WR and based on his insane athletic profile and failed to develop him as a RB. It’s really simple. There aren’t many players with as much athletic talent as him, he just has yet to receive competent coaching.
