I've heard that the surrender hotline is so busy it's almost impossible to get through.

Who are potential future big waiver targets? by blackfishfilet in fantasyfootball

Considering what the 49ers grass does to running backs I'd be angry at it too.

Talk us OUT of signing waiver wire darlings by Aljo_Is_135_GOAT in fantasyfootball

I've been guilty of not checking the matchups for hot waiver pickups. This week's example is Allgeier and Huntley, who go up against Tampa in week 5. Not great if you need an immediate replacement for Javonte.

And injuries aside, consider sitting tight especially if it's worth preserving FAAB or waiver order. I dropped Hockenson last week thinking he was a bust.

Players that skyrocketed in value after this week? by booty-connoisseur in fantasyfootball

Lol I DROPPED Hock last week for Conklin. Hock wasn't even getting targs let alone catches. Then Sun God goes down and it suddenly I dropped a WR1. Fuck.

Funny thing is he's still on waivers.

What's with the gangsta 45-degree gun angle? Not that you could get me to walk upright toward a position that was firing tracers at me.

Anyone else prefer to continuously refresh box scores on TheScore/ESPN app vs actually watching the game to check how your team is doing? by Jakjak81 in fantasyfootball

[–]One-Inch-Punch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fantasy scoring kind of kills the fun of watching the actual games. On Sundays I specifically don't check fantasy scores until after SNF. Obviously the yardage and TDs are force fed to me on the chyron, but I don't check the computed fantasy point total. I also never look at my opponents' lineups because I hate rooting against specific players.

Am I crazy for being high on mariota? by Ok-Cattle7147 in fantasyfootball

Idk I have Carr and the Raiders seem unable to adjust when defenses double Adams. On the other hand he hasn't turned in a bad game yet. But with Carr going up against Denver I feel like the upside is with Mariota.

I miss Tags. It was evident that the man was able to store a vast amount of FF data in his head which must have made the Primer easy to write for him. I could never write an article like that entirely by myself--I've tried to write up a game or two myself on several occasions when I was trying to organize my thoughts about them, and it's incredibly time consuming just combing through the available data.

People are aware that Primer is written by multiple writers, right? Derek Brown wrote Fins/Bengals, Fitz wrote Cards/Rams and Pats/Packers?

Why aren’t top TE top 5 picks? by Unusual-Fig4948 in fantasyfootball

Until this year there wasn't such a huge dropoff between Andrews/Kelce and everyone else. If that dropoff stays there all season, next year those two will absolutely be round 1 or 2 picks.

Dropped Renfrow last week. Had him last season too, he's turned into a Tyler Lockett-like perpetual tease. Meanwhile here's Mack Hollins putting up 22 points doing Renfrow's job.

Two engineers share a hug atop a burning wind turbine in the Netherlands (2013) by 787v in Damnthatsinteresting

My point is that cost per kilowatt hour is so much better for renewables that nuclear is doomed, so the recycling issues are irrelevant.

But to your point, spent rods are not the only radioactive waste reactors produce. Not by a long shot.

Appreciate the effort, but the only statistic that matters is cost per kilowatt hour. Again, solar plus storage costs half as much per kilowatt hour as nukes. And cost per kilowatt hour for solar plus storage continues to plunge as new technologies mature. There are no equivalent developments in nuclear or fossil power generation.
