(Smackdown Spoilers) If this is a new group, it has potential. by Ripclawe in SquaredCircle

Bobby’s in the main event scene right now? No.

But nonetheless I see your point, so I’ll make mine even more pronounced. Those guys you named…are more talented than her. In fact, those are some of the most talented wrestlers in the world today and all time(especially Edge and AJ). And in the larger scale of wrestling in general will be more remembered, celebrated, and will have made bigger impact. They have proven resumé’s and have had shots to run with the ball and knocked it out the park. Shall I continue to give you reasons why Shayna isn’t a main event woman? Cause we have Ronda. Every booker in the world would book Ronda better than Shayna. Need more examples? Becky, Asuka, Charlotte, Bayley, all more talented than Shayna. Raquel, Liv, Alexa, Bianca, Sonya are all talent that has a higher ceiling than Shayna.

I find it odd that Shayna Baszler being underutilized is the hill you’re dying on. There’s a lot of other talent that would actually make sense for the under utilization argument than Shayna. She’s good…..but not that good. Point blank.

Bro she’s old as fuck. She was brought in to be a main heel to Becky her initial year on the main roster. I don’t think the plan was ever for her to get the title. She was never a long term investment. She’s a heel that can be heated up to be credible at any moment. This is her place.

Is he smashing Julia? They was posting tf out each other this week. But shit he do look healthy. He legit almost died from Covid and I think he got asthma, bet the docs told him to get it straight or he might not survive another battle with it.

Whose autobiography book you'd like to get the most? by Zdrpkamil in GriseldaxFR

Honestly both Conway and Gunn. They’ve claimed to be biological brothers(same mama or daddy?) I’d be curious like did they grow up together? We know Benny is Gunns first cousin, there’s pics of them as kids together. But I feel like there’s still a lot of story between Gunn and Conway that hasn’t been told.

What is the most impressive wrestling performance you have seen in the last ten years by jn3zz4 in SquaredCircle

Rey Mysterios royal rumble win in 2006. To me that was the best start to finish rumble winner.

Why does Griselda resonate with you? by extraontheside_ in GriseldaxFR

[–]MachTommy 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Conways pain and perseverance resonated with me initially. It’s why he’s my favorite out the 3 despite Gunn and Benny arguably making better music at this time. Conway painted pictures and put the listener inside the picture with his early music. He really had the illest story and I would actually love to see a high production value short film about his adulthood. Surviving getting shot in the head, losing then regaining his ability to rap, wearing the scars proudly on his face, all while navigating through street hardships is insane tryna make it as a rapper. Dude had every obstacle the universe could throw at him and beat them all. The fact he’s here at all making music for us to enjoy is like winning an NBA title or something. No matter what he does he reached the pinnacle for him. I think there’s so much value to be gained from his story and his music

Paul Carter’s Valkyrie program? by angelseggsaga in gymsnark

[–]MachTommy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well in fitness there’s not really concrete answers to that though. I’d say if you’re wondering whether you’re an intermediate or not, you probably aren’t. Of course this would vary case by case. To me a beginner is someone who is within their first 1-3 years and basically just knows that lifting hard will get results. Someone who goes in and kinda does random workouts but still makes gains. I’d consider an intermediate is now someone who has taken the initiative to learn how and why they’re doing a certain exercise. Or has learned how and why other variables like recovery and stress management can impact their gains. And then an advanced is someone who has applied the knowledge, principles, and anecdotes on a longer term basis(competitors, high level trainers, etc.) Again though, of course these aren’t concrete answers, just my opinion.

You can also join the groups with a lab rat mentality. Basically just “shut up, run the program, train hard, get the gains”. I think somebody with that mentality could honestly run any program and see results.

The number of workouts per week may change depending on the Mesocycle. GG was consistently 4-Days for the Mesocycles I was apart of. I’m currently back in YS and it’s 4-days. He announced on IG the upcoming GG meso is 3-days.

As far as results, they’re both good programs to run. GG is better if you just have limited equipment. If you have access to cables and machines then YS will be more suitable. The number 1 issue I see is a lot of people who join YS should really be in GG. Because so many people are asking for an exercise substitution. Like people will say “I don’t have a hack squat, can I do V-Squat”…..well no, as those machines are different and won’t get you the desired stimulus from the prescribed exercise. You should know if your gym is well equipped or not and if it isn’t, then run GG.

I’d say if you’re going to join make sure you’re at least an intermediate with knowledge of terminology like RIR, moment arms, mechanical tension, and at least a basic knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy. You don’t have to be an expert but a true beginner would get overwhelmed.

If Roman never said he'd leave if he didn't turn heel, would he have ever turned heel? by Competitive-Fig9186 in SquaredCircle

[–]MachTommy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they definitely lost some good karma backstage for their performance that summer. They were 2 guys who had been built up to be top guys and they finally got their shot and weren’t delivering. While on the other hand Drew and Lashley were on Raw running with the red hot torch.

[–]MachTommy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably not considering he was still very over as a face after returning from cancer. So in hindsight, him opting to sit out of WM36 and the summer after was the best thing for them. WWE knew it too, thinking back on that summer…boy was the main event scene weak. Strowman and Bray was the main event program for the universal title🤮

This defense of Lesnar/Reigns really bothers me by Mr_An_1069 in SquaredCircle

[–]MachTommy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah agreed. I was in defense of Lesnar/Reigns for WM as that was a story that needed to be told with the Heyman dynamic. But this is just lazy. WWE can heat up ANYONE they want. Just have Drew or Lashley win a multi man contender match. Or why not take a page from Summerslam 2017? If we don’t have one clear contender let’s throw big names in a multi man match, guaranteed to sell the show. I’d be here for a Lesnar/Reigns/Lashley/McIntyre fatal 4-way.

WWE WRESTLEMANIA 23 - Undertaker vs Batista by elrincondistroyer in SquaredCircle

[–]MachTommy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really crazy people were saying that cause 05 Taker feud with Orton and his 06 feud with Angle proved he still had a lot left. They gave him Mark Henry and Great Khali around this time too. Like what was he supposed to do with that? This was my favorite Taker feud and one of my favorite childhood memories was going to Cyber Sunday 07 where they had a rematch with Stone Cold as the guest referee. Batista went over on that one.
