Hi Reddit. Louis Theroux here, ready to answer all your most pressing questions about my new show Forbidden America, my career, the places I’ve been and the people I’ve met.
I’ve been making documentaries for 25+years from Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends to Forbidden America and it’s allowed me to travel the world and meet so many interesting people. And yes, you may also know me from my ‘Jiggle jiggle’ rap over on TikTok or working with Jason Derulo.
If you’re in the US or Canada, you can watch my series 'Louis Theroux: Forbidden America' on BBC Select: https://bit.ly/3y3hAKo

Edit: Thank you all so much for joining me today - I really appreciate all your questions!
Hey Reddit! Excited for my second AMA! I'm David Chan, concertmaster of the MET. I graduated from Harvard and Juilliard and have taught violin at Juilliard for almost fifteen years now. I also love golf!
Next week, I'll be performing as concertmaster of the Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra in San Diego at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. It's a three concert festival at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, hosting principal players from 21 different major American orchestras including the MET, LA Phil, Dallas Symphony, National Symphony and more.
Check mainlymozart.org/rosters to view Mainly Mozart All-Star Orchestra rosters. Click here to learn more about the October festival.

Edit: I have to run, but thanks everyone for the great questions!
I'm here to dispel some rumours about my fascinating subject area and demonstrate how maths is becoming an increasingly important tool in our fight to understand biological processes in the real world, as we’ve seen so pertinently recently during the pandemic.
I recently published a new popular maths book called the Math(s) of Life and Death which is out in the UK and the US. In the book I explore the true stories of life-changing events in which the application (or misapplication) of mathematics has played a critical role.
My next book, How to Expect the Unexpected, is about predicting the future. It’s all about how and why predictions go wrong with the aim of helping you to spot phony forecasts and give you a better chance of getting your own predictions correct.
On a personal note, I'm from Manchester, UK, so it's almost a pre- requisite that I love football (Manchester City) and Music (Oasis were my favourite band). I also have two young kids, so they keep me busy outside of work. I also have a website for both research and pop maths.

Thanks all, my time's up. It's been a blast. Please feel free to leave some feedback here: https://www.menti.com/alsm1ao6jy3h/0
Hi Reddit, I’m a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Wolverhampton University, where I’m a member of the Animal Behaviour & Wildlife Conservation group, working on the Marie Curie project The Enriched Primate - EnPrim.
My project focuses on the critically endangered Gentle lemur (Hapalemur alaotrensis) and aims to enhance the breeding success and welfare of captive lemurs using chemical communication to promote mating behaviours and increase reproduction in captivity. My research involves strictly non- invasive methods to obtain chemical, behavioural, endocrinological and microbiological data and it will contribute to the preservation of a species at very high risk of extinction with possible reintroduction into the natural environment.
If you are interested in talking about my research or just or just want to learn more about these wonderful animals, I will be on at 2pm (GMT 1) on Saturday 1st October, ask me anything!
Proof: Here's my proof!
Thank you for spending this time with me and for your interest in my project and these beautiful primates. I did not expect so many fascinating questions, it has been great to see so much interest! I am sorry I did not manage to answer all the questions, but I have got time constraints due to other commitments. If you want, you can contact me at s.fontani@wlv.ac.uk and follow me on Twitter at @SaraFirenze. I will be happy to address to any other question. Please do not forget to leave your feedback at https://www.menti.com/alsm1ao6jy3h/0 All the very best!
Never seen an AMA like this, so I thought I'd give it a shot. If anyone even cares haha. proof
Some context,
I'm a 22 years old 1st generation Korean-American dude.
I work in the greater Atlanta area. There's a decent korean population here and it's littered with authenthic and also americanized korean bbq spots.
I've worked at 5 korean bbq places so far as a server. I cook and provide service at the table. I consider myself quite knowledgeable and know the ins and outs of this side of the industry.
An example of the food offered at my current restuarant workplace is shown here in this picture link: https://imgur.com/a/Zk8uwkm
Ask me anything and I will answer. What's it like, recommendations, etiquette, etc. No questions are off limit :)

My favorite questions so far:
Good morning Reddit!
We are two psychotherapists who have experience working in a variety of settings, including private practice. We both work at Enteave Counseling in Austin, TX., and offer online therapy.
While we cannot provide counseling through reddit, we are happy to answer questions you have about relationships, life transitions, anxiety, depression, general mental health, or counseling (in-person and online). We will be answering questions today from 9am to approximately 1pm CST.
Tzvi Prochnik(enteave_tzvi)
I’m Tzvi Prochnik. I’ve been a licensed psychotherapist in the Austin area for the past year. I work a hybrid model, where I see clients both in person and online. Prior to that, I worked in an acute inpatient psychiatric hospital for the past 3 years. I specialize in working with adults dealing with life transitions and relationship issues. I recently completed the first weekend of EMDR basic training which is a ptsd-based therapy technique. I use a mix of CBT, mindfulness, boundary setting, role-play and goal setting techniques in my work with clients to manage a variety of issues and live more fulfilling lives.
In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing both in the gym and at the crag. I love traveling and recently spent 6 months living and volunteering all over Mexico. I also got into the fermentation game over the pandemic and began making sourdough bread, kombucha, and sauerkraut.
Ask me anything about life transitions, relationship issues, psychotherapy in person or online, rock climbing or the joys of fermentation!

Adam Paine(enteave-adam):
I specialize in helping clients with high anxiety; I use mindfulness/meditation, stress management techniques, work/life balance techniques, assertive communication training, and behavioral therapy to help clients learn to enjoy life more by managing their stress. When I’m not working with my clients, I like to read non-fiction, practice yoga, watching Simpsons, and playing Nintendo Switch (Currently playing Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak, Inside, TMNT Cowabunga Collection)
Hurricane Ian was an unprecedented catastrophic event. When this happens, there is a great deal of uncertainty over what is or is not covered by insurance, or whether you should file a claim at all.
I am an attorney specializing in the practice area of property insurance claims in the state of Florida. I regularly lecture to some of the largest conferences in the state on case law and building code compliance in emergency situations. I am here to answer any questions I can to help guide people through this tumultuous time. AMA!
