Jim or Jimmy Taylor may refer to:
James Charles Taylor (born September 20, 1935) is a former American football fullback. He played professional in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons, with the Green Bay Packers from 1958 to 1966 and with the expansion New Orleans Saints in 1967. Taylor played college football at Louisiana State University (LSU) where he was an All-American, and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1976.
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Taylor had two paper routes, to help his widowed mother make ends meet. He delivered the morning and afternoon routes by bicycle for three dollars a week, which helped to develop his leg muscles. Though he did not play football until his junior year, he was a star athlete in four sports at Baton Rouge High School, and graduated in 1954. He stayed in town and played college football at LSU and was an All-American in 1957. He scored 20 rushing touchdowns over his college career, and led the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in scoring in 1956 and 1957. His final game at LSU was a 25-6 victory over Tulane, which was the start of a 22-game unbeaten streak for the Tigers.
Omar Ahmed Algredr Khadr (born September 19, 1986) is a Canadian who was convicted of murder after he allegedly threw a grenade during an armed conflict in Afghanistan that resulted in the death of an American soldier. At the time, he was 15 years old and had been brought to Afghanistan by his father, who was affiliated with an extreme religious group. During the conflict Khadr was badly wounded, and captured by the Americans. He was subsequently held at Guantanamo Bay for 10 years. After extensive torture, he pleaded guilty to murder in October 2010 to several purported war crimes prior to being tried by a United States military commission. He was the youngest prisoner and last Western citizen to be held by the United States at Guantanamo Bay. He accepted an eight-year sentence, not including time served, with the possibility of a transfer to Canada after at least one year to serve the remainder of the sentence.
During a firefight on July 27, 2002, in the village of Ayub Kheyl, Afghanistan, in which several Taliban fighters were killed, Khadr, not yet 16, was severely wounded. After being detained at Bagram, he was sent to Guantanamo Bay detention camps, in Cuba. During his detention, he was interrogated by Canadian as well as US intelligence officers.

Plot: Thirty-something Nick Taylor and his wife Laura have been together for ten years and things aren't going too well. She senses her biological clock is ticking away and she wants children while Nick is not as sure. Not because he does not like kids but because he feels a child could be just one responsibility too many. Nick's problem is his elderly parents. He loves them of course, but sometimes even he finds his patience is wearing a little thin which in turn brings on the guilt. His parents are a handful. They're conservative, highly eccentric and increasingly infirm. His Mum Lil is reliant on her cigarettes making her own health decrease and she is certainly no longer up to looking after his dad Jim by herself. He has Parkinson's Disease - not the shaking kind, as Lil is always reminding people - but he's unable to do even the simplest task himself such as going to the toilet and needs constant care and attention. Nick knows the time has come to take the matter in to his own hands but things need to be handled carefully. So he and Laura take them to Malta for what they hope will be a happy final family holiday. Nick thinks his only problem is going to be avoiding Laura's amorous advances but this particular island turns out to be a sun-kissed cupboard with quite a few skeletons kept hidden away for quite a few years. The secret is Jim fathered another sun during WWII and he wants to meet him before he dies. Now it's up to Nick to find him. Tackling some harsh subjects with sensitivity, understanding, great affection and good humor. What We Did On Our Holiday is a about a time in our lives when it seems roles are reversed and we find ourselves looking after the very people we'd always assumed would be there to look after us.

Plot: A seaplane departs for China. On board are a nurse escaping a loveless marriage to do work with refugees, a woman hoping to surprise her estranged son, a wealthy heiress trying to distance herself from labor troubles, an oily politician, a moll and a mobster fleeing the wrath of the gangs they've double-crossed, two rival munitions salesmen out to cash in on the misery of war, and a fresh-faced young steward. Caught in a course-altering storm, a crash-landing destroys the plane, kills the plane's officers, and tosses the surviving passengers into the sea. They are washed ashore on an isolated island inhabited solely by mysteriously reclusive Mr. Taylor and his servant, Ping. Until Taylor decides if, how and when he will allow them to take his boat back to China for help, this disparate band must work together, change their self-centered ways, and examine their motives for wanting to escape from the island and their pasts.
