I was watching a lot of Tosh.0 at the time I made this one.

8 years myself. How about those first months, did you also feel like you were just living an endless day?

I could have had him looking at a wall clock, but I got some weird enjoyment out of drawing the ghost wearing his wristwatch throughout the whole comic.

What album by your favourite band/artist do you wish they never made? by wayanonforthis in Music

Agree. Someone said once about late-era Prince "he used to set the times, now he's trying to catch up to them" and I felt this perfectly described Pop. Like drum and bass or jungle or whatever was supposed to be the next big thing and they were trying to be in on the ground floor for it.

I can see that! Someone also mentioned rollercoasters, but yeah skiing has its unavoidable tedious parts. Can't have highs without lows, I guess!

Thank you, that's high praise. Watterson was onto something, even if he did it so in the punchline Calvin could rationalize his sometimes awful behavior. Children don't really have a running inner monologue, but their minds are incredibly complex... it's fun to try and articulate the intensity of their racing little brains.

Something a little different, about the minds of children.

A clever ruse by portsherry in comics

I guess most places where rain is commonplace are designed so rain would not disrupt daily life (like in the event of a flooding, for example). I've experience schools closing due to heavy rain over the years (one memorable one was, of all days, 9/11). Where I live could be considered a desert (not in the US btw), so while we have our rainy seasons we are not used to heavy, constant rains: the city is not built for it, so in the rare chance it happens, storm drains can't handle it, traffic turns to chaos, and it's just too cumbersome/dangerous to go outside. With climate change, I'm thinking this will be an issue many places will have to face sooner or later.

Sometimes they go a bit overboard, though...

EDIT: By the way, I'm sure most people already know this, but seagulls and other birds "dancing" for worms is a real thing! You can see it here.
