Hi Reddit! I’m Lou Montulli (u/montulli) and I’m a founding engineer of Netscape, web cookie inventor, and co-author of the first web browsers. JonsBones is a leading supplier of human medical osteology or in simpler terms, human bone specimens used in the medical field as research and educational tools. Many of the pieces we work with have been uncirculated for quite some time, lost in basements and university storage closets. We aim to bring these pieces back into the field to serve their original purpose once again. Additionally, we are particularly well known for our installation of 102 articulated human spines, affectionately referred to as "The Spine Wall." JonsBones has recently gained traction in the news and on social media, and in the interest of transparency, we wanted to answer any questions you may have concerning where these bones come from, how someone donates their body to science, questions about this industry and any other related questions you may have.
