The audacity of this article trying so very hard to avoid saying that a cop shot her. It’s buried so deep, even the headline makes it so unclear.

She’s just like Akshan and Yone (and to an extent Viego). A hypermobile champion with 2-3 gimmicky schticks, random passive stat boosts and effects that TRY to patch up the obvious shortcomings in the actual gameplay, and lacking a clear weakness because they just have so many options. Yone is at least technically engaging and interestig, but Nilah and Akshan are just… boring, despite all the padded stats and gimmicks (or BECAUSE of them).

True! But also I think we get stuck in a really Western/US view of these things. Cultures around the world have had alternatives to male/female genders for a long time, and gender roles in specific, as we know them, are just a product of our history. Other countries, religions, and cultures have completely different takes and roles regarding the whole thing.

I think that’s willfully misunderstanding the point. God gifted us with free will and self-determination to govern our lives on Earth as we see fit. Gender is a social phenomenon, forged from thousands of years of human interaction.

To me, it’s a matter of respect to that self-determination. If someone decides the best course for their life is a different gender, I have no scriptural basis for condemning this.
