Acting on invalid DMCA notices
Not providing details of DMCA notices for weeks / multiple requests
Not restoring content when asked to by the rights holder !
Removing content they've already restored for being removed in error the first time
Not assessing counterclaims correctly, because the form is formatted in such a way that your appeal is not included in what they're sent!
It's an absolute nightmare dealing with all this
The process can take weeks / months to resolve because we're never provided with the relevant information at the start.
And when we finally are, we've seen that notices are invalid.
When we've had removals before, the rights holder has confirmed to us that it was removed in error. When we followed up with them, they informed us that they'd requested the content to be restored - but Reddit hadn't done anything!
And now, 3 months later, Legal are removing this exact same post a 2nd time!
Our sub is 100% against leaked content, but I fear we'll be shut down because of how anti-user this whole process is
(far more than a typical DMCA process on any other website...)
