I am looking to start a game that will run once per week, 8:00-10:00PM Pacific time, probably on Sunday night, but I can do any night Friday-Monday depending on interest. The plan is to run the game on discord and owlbear.rodeo (don't worry about it,) playing through a customized Lost Mines of Phandelver with the possibility of extra one shots, homebrew, or modules set in Forgotten realms if things are going well.

I have DMed LMOP twice before, once in person and once online, and I have enjoyed it and just want to keep building on what I've done with it.

All players 21+ of any experience are welcome. However, I do ask that you commit to the game and can play 2 hours a week, 12 weeks straight, and that you take the time to learn the rules and your character. I would love to teach brand new players, but you have to seriously want to play and learn. I also ask that you have a mic and camera (nothing fancy needed,) and that you turn your camera on for the game. It is just more fun and social that way.

The first session will start no later than August 8, 2022. Session 0 will be held over text chat in discord throughout the week as we solidify our group.

All player characters must be cooperative and want to adventure. No murderhobos! I will work with you to create your character and backstory to fit the campaign and setting.

If you want to join, please upvote, make a brief comment, then send me a direct message with your age, rpg experience, why you want to join, how you know you can commit, your preferred class/race, and your availability/preferred day of the week. Discord: newageretrohippie#8631

Hello everyone!

My name is Brendan, and I'm about to be starting up a short Call of Cthulu campaign. With already a small group ready to go, I'm looking for two more players interested in exploring the supernatural. Time and day already set in stone, this campaign is looking to start on Thursday, September 1st, at 7:00 pm EST. Unfortunately, this cannot be changed, and I apologize to those who are unavailable at that time. Additionally, this game will be every other week, and it is planned to last anywhere between three and five sessions. That being said, it may go longer if things get wrapped up and we all want to explore the world a bit more.

Hook:

In January of 1972, all was well in the small town of Cullfield Texas. The weather was modest and the town was at peace.

In February of 1972, Cullfield Texas was no longer on the map. In it's place, merely the scorched remains of suburbia.

In March of 1972, the federal government was alerted to this disaster, and after every plausible natural theory was exhausted, the Foundation was contacted.

In April of 1972, all was well in the small town of Cullfield Texas. The weather was modest and the town was at peace.

In May of 1972, the Foundation raised the status of the situation to Apollyon, and all available resources were directed to the study and containment of the Cullfield anomaly.

Nobody goes in or out of Cullfield without the explicit permission of the Foundation, so who are you? What did you do to find yourself contacted to be part of a new exploration team? Perhaps an existing researcher in the Foundation? A soldier sent to protect the team? An outsider- someone with a personally vested interest in the town who may notice things that others would not?

To provide a little more context, this mini-campaign is inspired by the SCP Foundation and the Magnus Archives. These are just two bits of media I adore, but this story isn't bound to them in any way. I've left the hook largely vague because with Call of Cthulu, I want my players to have a lot of control over their characters and backstories. If you want to will into existence a whole branch of the monolith that is "The Foundation", I want you to be able to do so. There are of course limits, but I have a history with letting my players get away with a lot as long as it's interesting.

Hello LFG, I'm looking to run a game on Saturday nights at midnight (BST), this is a pretty late start for me due to me working until closing but I promise to bring forth enthusiasm for the game I run. I would like to run a campaign for 4-6 players and I wish to run every week. The game will be a level 6 start in order to give the players a little more freedom. I want to run a fairly standard adventure, set in the home-brew kingdom of Drakkan as it is being invaded by a rival empire. I wish to run this campaign over Discord for Voice Chats and planning, whilst the game itself will be run over Roll20. Please don't hesitate to PM me with any questions or comments. I will note that I tend to forget to reply to comments on my posts so direct messages would be greatly appreciated! looking forward to hearing from those interested, your potential Game Master, Josh.

The Adventure

This is the classic dungeon crawl adventure from Tales of the Yawning Portal. It's not a mindless hack'n'slash adventure, you'll need to use real tactics and planning to get past the enemies in this dungeon. The adventure is probably best for players who are comfortable with the rules and expectations of D&D and want to get some more experience. This game is expected to take at least 3-6 sessions to finish.

Adventure Hook

Initially, you were brought to the Stone Tooth by rumours of a cache of legendary weapons forged by the great dwarven smiths of old. You were promised a king's ransom if you returned to Baron Alton with detailed maps of the underground passages and caverns beneath the Stone Tooth. He hopes to send his men down for further investigating once the he's gathered as much information as he can.

When making inquiries you discovered, perhaps to your dismay, that the location may now be the lair of an Orc tribe, but with this news came further incentive: the local sheriff offers a bounty of 25 gp per orc, dead or alive.

Gameplay

This campaign will be played using Roll20 for battle maps and Discord for voice calls (audio only). Character sheets and dice rolls will be handled by Roll20.

Scheduled Sessions

I’m aiming to have weekly sessions on Saturday at 1pm (GMT). I expect each session to last 3-5 hours with a break.

EDIT: I am temporarily suspending the application link to read through the responses I got so far.

Hi r/lfg. I am a first-time DM looking to try my hand at running a short story adventure in the world of Exandria.

Day/Time: Sundays, weekly, sometime between 1-6 PM EST, about 3hrs per session

Location: Online. Discord for voice chat (need a mic), DnDbeyond to roll dice, and Owlbear Rodeo for combat and tokens.

Session 0 Timing: Either tomorrow (July 31st) or next week (Aug 7) depending on how many responses I get. More details on session 0 are below.

No. of Players: 4 or 5 (around my age - between 25-35yrs)

No. of Session: The story itself takes place over three to four days. I expect the entire adventure to be about three sessions including session 0. Look at the end for future plans regarding a longer campaign.

The Adventure:

"Unwelcome Spirits" from Explorer's Guide to Wildemount. Players start at level 1 and progress to level 2 halfway through. This is a story-driven adventure, so there is a clear objective - this is not a sandbox campaign.

Post seeking GM: You are a party not inviting new players. You know what you want for a game, now you just need somebody to run it.

Several identity tags have been made available for users who may have a harder time than most making a group of people who share a particular part of their identity. These tags are not for others to say they are friendly toward their group (they can say so without the tag, though!) this is solely for groups whose intent is for all members to share the tagged identity:

[Accessible] for people requiring special access or tools to play as a result of disability.

[POC] for people of color

[Fem] for people who identify as feminine or woman

[LGBTQPlus] for people who identify as LGBTQAI+
