Today a women stopped me at the traffic lights in Sydney to have a wholesome chat about how pretty the city looks with vivd. Little did she know that today was probably one of the worst day's of my life, as it was my grandma's funeral. Little things like this can go a long way.

when i came out as trans in senior year of HS, I sent an email to all my former & current teachers as well as the administrators to let them know of my name change & pronouns. (this was over 10 years ago). The vice principal emailed me, asking me to visit his office. (1/?)

Alexander judgment summary up. What does it mean? The High Court found Australia’s #citizenship #stripping law is unconstitutional. It was a majority decision, so not all judges agreed. The law fell within the aliens power, but infringed the separation of judicial power.

A wrap of the key evidence in the Roberts-Smith defamation case. While the evidence has now concluded, the trial is not officially over. The parties are back in court in July to deliver their final submissions to Federal Court Justice Anthony Besanko.

It is astonishing how much people from Melbourne love Melbourne. If you say to someone from Sydney that Sydney sucks they'll agree and tell you a Sydney sucks story. If you say Melbourne sucks to someone from Melbourne they'll politely disagree and report you with a special app.

There is a crucial role of hormones in #LongCovid, with many menstruating people experiencing early menopause, difficulty conceiving, & symptoms worsening based on menstrual cycles. Yet few are studying it. This is a call to action for further research.

As someone who is still recovering from the horror of Influenza A I cannot stress how important it is to do what the good doctor says and get your flu vax. I'm not unfamiliar with illness but this is something else altogether. It absolutely smashed our 9 year old too. 🤒💉🤒

As a doctor, I cannot stress how important it is to get your flu vax. Some hospitals are now seeing a 500% increase in cases, particularly among older and young ones. Please book with your GP or pharmacist when you can. Don’t delay.

I wish I could just tell millions of people, especially women, that sleeping eight to nine hours is normal, that very few things are worth feeling like your head is filled with cotton the next day, that coffee is a weak band-aid, and hustle culture is a toxic and harmful

Happy Monday and a big shout out to those who care for people with #LongCovid and other chronic illnesses. To all who have had their lives turned upside down by a condition they DON'T have, but unquestioningly help with compassion and empathy anyhow. We see you, we appreciate you

We were shocked in 2017 when our flu season saw >3000 Australians die from influenza. So far this year COVID-19 has caused >5000 deaths, and it’s only May. At this rate we expect 15,000 to 18,000 deaths from COVID by the end of the year 😬
