It looks like the CDC added a bunch of locations for novavax last night; we're up to 3,142 total non-CVS locations at the moment (up from 900ish yesterday, if I recall correctly). 65 of these are currently marked as in stock in Delaware, Kansas, Mississippi, New Hampshire, Ohio, Rhode Island, Texas, and Washington.

Showing as in stock on here does not necessarily mean you can walk in and get it immediately. Always call first to confirm availability. Likewise, showing up at all in this list does not necessarily mean it will be stocked. If you find a place close to you, call and ask for confirmation of whether they expect to stock it.
Also, I updated the novavax finder to exclude CVS by default. Since there has been no news of them retracting or clarifying the statement that they have no plans to stock novavax, the data is just noise. You can check the box to include CVS results if you want.
e: I've been thinking about why CVS was added in the first place, even before CDC authorization. It hit me that maybe the devs at CDC added junk data to test some technical updates in preparation for the rollout (I do this often) and never went back to clean it up
It was a very interesting group of people. Of course, there is no booster option yet so everyone had never had a COVID-19 vaccine. We were (and still are) the only location showing as having Novavax in central FL so we filled up our appointments extremely quickly. The patients we saw were split into 1) those who had some kind of medical contraindication to the existing vaccines and 2) those who were against COVID vaccines as a whole and were the least against getting this one (we had a few active duty military folks in this camp today). The first group was amazing and extremely thankful. One patient even gave me a 10 second hug after I administered because she was so thankful. The second group was a mixed bag. Some were fine and thankful, others kinda grilled me on the vaccine and it’s side effects. One asked if I would just waste the dose and give him his card. All of them ended up taking it after talking with our pharmacist, so I hope he eased their fears. Has anyone else here had experience with the shot?
Just got off the phone with Glasgow pharmacy and they stated that they cannot give you a Novavax dose if you have had any doses of any other vaccines in the past. Even if you were allergic or had an adverse reaction. I even offered to provide a DR's note and they still refused as the CDC gave them strict instructions to not give it to us. She also made it a point to tell me that regardless of what pharmacy I went to, my first shot will be in the system. I'm honestly so upset right now
I was wondering what protocols - if any - people are going to use to help try to prevent reactions from the Novavax vaccine. Some possible steps are:
High dosage antihistamine / Pepcid protocol for 3 days prior and 3 days after the shot
Drink extra water the day before, the day of and the day after the shot
Take an anti inflammatory such as advil
Take a prednisone dose (or two?) the day of the injection
Other???
