As much as I'd like to see prices drop significantly, especially because of higher interest rates, I don't think that the drop will be drastic like in previous downturns for 2 reasons.

1) Few to no foreclosures. There just isn't the large number of bad mortgages like in '06 to '08.

2) Low housing stock. The US hasn't been building homes as fast or as plentiful for the market. The supply is still too low vs demand.

But it is the end of prices going up 2 - 3% a month!

The web is telling me, DNC in Canada is the 'Do Not Call' registry. I guess Karen works at a centre reminding people thier cars extended warranty is about to expire.

I was in Michigan once and got to cross into Canada for a weekend. Omg, so beautiful and green!

My boss made me open and close the restaurant on short notice by BrunoBrook in antiwork

Back when I worked there a crusty old dude and his creepy buddies showed up. He kept yelling at me, calling me 'carbon'. Like wtf, I mean I'm a lot of things, but I'm not made of carbon!

Dude was getting all smoking, after I told him he wasn't allowed to. He didn't listen, so I put him in a wheelchair.

Boss was okay and said my reasoning was 'acceptable'.

Who benefits when interest rates hike up? Clearly not buyers - or sellers. by Dracomies in RealEstate

[–]EvitaPuppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a buyer, you get a better price. Yes, the interest is higher, but that's offset a little by it being tax deductible.

And when the rates go down in the future, the buyer can refinance and reduce their mortgage payment (or take out equity).

Lazy. If you're going to call a burger Breaking Bad, do something interesting.

Like use 'Blue' cheese. Bonus, use Christmas peppers (red & green) like those offered in ABQ.
