I’ll start, Sublime. I was so into them in middle school/high school! The stoner friendly sound was on point for where I was at in my life. My car in high school had a 90% chance of playing 40 oz to freedom as soon as it started. Now I hear them and sort of shutter. Sad, but true. Sorry Bradly
Here are my picks:
Aja (Steely Dan)
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (Kanye West)
Kid A (Radiohead)
Bands that were big when you were in your formative years but you were too young/dumb to appreciate just how good they were. I’m not talking bands that were around before you were born. These are bands that you missed the boat on in your era. Or that were meh as a teen but as an adult you love.
For me it was Pearl Jam. I was a teenager in the 90’s and PJ should have ticked all my boxes but I just kind of missed it. It wasn’t until I reached my 30’s that I began to appreciate just how freaking good they are. I’m catching up now but it would have been great to have seen them live when I was younger.
*edit. If you want to throw in a song recommendation or two please do. I’ve got a long flight in about 12 hrs time and I’m making a playlist
