i think my adhd made it easier to get diagnosed, actually. i was diagnosed at 11, but sometimes i wonder if would have been able to get diagnosed if i didnt have adhd. like a third of the shit they listed as autistic symptoms were actually entirely or partly caused by adhd. like they thought my interuptting in class was me not understanding social interaction apparently, even though it was actually impulsivity. also they said that i understood social interaction better than i could actually apply those skills (although i was still bad at understanding regardless).
