The great thing about this cavalier rush build order is that it can easily be completed at 27+2 population, meaning that you can attack your enemy sooner and with hard hitting cavalier. The Burgundians have a useful eco bonus that means eco techs can be researched one age earlier. this means that in this cavalier rush build order, you're able to research double bit axe in the dark age and bow saw whilst advancing to the castle age, giving you a great advantage in wood collection rates. the stable techs are also 50% cheaper and they receive cavalier in the castle age, researched at half the cost. this means that you can easily rush your enemy in early castle age with fully upgraded cavalier. they don't get bloodlines though which makes them less scary and Lithuanian knights with 3 relics are still better than these! The burgundians are a new civ from the age of empires 2 lords of the west expansion DLC and may receive a nerf in the future that could make this build order redundant. Any variation of the Aoe2 knight rush would be a risky strategy to use in any open map like arabia in a 1v1 game as you will be leaving yourself open to a feudal age rush from your enemy. it could be used as the pocket player in a team game, but in a 1v1 it would be best to use on maps like hideout or hillfort. not Arena though as the stone walls will be too much for the cavalier to get through. There are lots of other aoe2 fast castle build orders on the channel including FC unique units, fast castle eagles, fast castle boom and Italian fast castle aoe2.
