Plot: Delia and Burly marry in the town they grew up in. Nine months later Acorn is born. When he is five Delia proposes to Burly that they open a bed and breakfast. Soon, their first guest arrives. Adderly is in town to give a lecture. He takes a keen interest in Acorn and offers to take him to the city for better schooling. He also buys the family a washing machine. Delia and Burly agree that Acorn can go to Toronto. A few days pass and Adderly hasn't returned her calls. They drive to Toronto and burst in on Adderly. Delia finds Acorn in a closet. Reunited, they return home.
