I was in Chicago a couple years back and went to a White Sox game. Asked a guy seated next to me where to eat lunch the next day. They directed me to Lillie's Q. While there we were impressed with the food so asked the server where to have supper downtown, with the stipulation that it couldn't be the same cuisine. They sent us to Ramen-San which was the best damn ramen 8ve ever had.

Does the back yard become a lake? Is there a tendency for water to come into the garage or back patio? These kinds of things are not always evident during dry weather and certainly aren't going to be revealed on any paper work. An on-site visit is the only way to understand how the property handles water.

Can’t say how many times I let people know I’ll be online early tomorrow and end up getting a call or email to urgently assist with something unrelated to why I came in early. It defeats the purpose of coming in early, and you can end up working more hours than intended trying to catch up again!

My job responsibilities include setting up interviews for open positions that we have. We get flooded with applications. I call those who are deemed most qualified. Most people do not answer the phone and that's fine. But too many candidates have not set up voicemail on their cell phones and I can't leave a message. I hate for that to be the reason they don't get an interview. I will call back later and will even send an email if I have time.

UPDATE: you all have made very good arguments about contacting people via email rather than calling them (texting is not an option from our work phone). Especially since they have applied online. My boss is very old school in other areas as well. But this makes alot of sense. Thanks!
