For a second I thought you were working in my office! This happens to us every Monday. My answer is usually the same: "slept all weekend." Even though I often do lots of stuff. I have no energy or desire to expose my private life to them.

Exactly same situation here. I have everything, money, good job, loving partner and family. But nothing helps. Only thing that gets me through is sleep and knowing death exists. I feel you.

Texted him on Fri night and waiting for an answer is ruining my weekend. I prepared myself for the worst, because I can't justify why he did what he did, why he lied in the first place and broke my trust and loyalty to him and overlooked my hard work, which he always praised.

I hope, as a small chance, that newbie is lying about what she's getting. I'll update once I hear from him.

I don't think that the job I do deserves higher salary than the current one, but i worth definitely higher than the newbie, so the problem is what she earns. Or in better words, why the boss puts me in the same place as her.
