Using the creation tool will just overwrite my old windows on the flash drive with the newest win10?

And what exactly do you mean by deleting the old volume and creating a new one?
I checked disk management but the option to delete the volume is grayed out.

I also read a factory reset will just reinstall windows, so how can i use the flash drive to install windows?

Sorry for the questions, I just have zero knowledge about just stuff.

Hey everyone.

Little edit to say if these questions don't fit in here, could i please get a suggestion for another sub to post this?

After searching on Google i can't really find a definitive answer to my questions.I've got an ssd (C:) on which win10 is installed. Also got a hard drive (D:) which i'm going to replace with an ssd.

  1. I possibly want to factory reset my pc as i've had it for a few years and kinda want a fresh start. Does a factory reset allow me to reinstall win10 on my new ssd or won't a factory reset even allow me to reinstall win 10?
  2. In case i'm not doing the factory reset, can i just remove the hard drive and connect the new ssd without any issues? There are some files on the hard drive and i don't know if they are necessary for my OS to run properly, even though win10 is installed on the ssd that's currently in my pc.
  3. Say i want to move my win10 from my current to my new ssd, how would i go about doing that? Tying in with question 1, if a factory reset will allow me to reinstall windows on another drive, i'll just do that.
    I do have win10 on a usb drive from when i picked up my pc and i've got a license key.

Perhaps. Or perhaps funny comments that are either slightly sexual or might be a bit offensive just aren't cursed. I just notice a lot of funny comments on this sub, instead of something that throws me out of my chair. Seems to me people misunderstand the sub.
