I'm f32 and just changed my doctor, it was my first visit there.

Right from the start she knew I have thyroid gland deficiency and PCOS, and not even once did she ask if I want to get pregnant. She asked about my family's history, I informed her that my sister has the same issues and found out when trying for her first baby.

The doctor then smiled and said "and you don't want to be pregnant" which didn't even sound like a question, rather like a statement :D

I confirmed and we chatted for a moment about how people expect this from a young, healthy woman while there shouldn't be any expectation, because, as she put it "not everyone needs to drive a car and not everyone needs to be pregnant" 😅😅

Enough to say I really like me new doctor :)

Just wanted to share this positive story. Stay strong sisters, there are still some safe places in this world :)

I was 9 weeks pregnant when I started having intense pain and bleeding. I know the drill, this was my 3rd miscarriage, so I got to the ER and the ultrasound confirmed it. The problem is there were still remains, had another ultrasound 5 days latter that confirmed the remains weren't going anywhere so a D&C was scheduled. Had all my blood work done and I was admitted at 3pm, was administered epidural and kept in recovery until I was able to walk again.

Everyone was compassionate, not one person doubts this has to be done.

I live in a developing country, abortion itself is illegal but there is no question about keeping women alive. As I was lying on the operating table I was so relieved I didn't move to the US when I was given the opportunity, and I wept for the women who are going through the same as me but wont get the compassion or understanding they need.

The hypocrisy is astonishing. It was never about the children, it will never be about the children. Nothing will change after this shooting. Prove me wrong. No, really, I NEED you to prove me wrong. What can we do to stop this from happening again?
