The Downing Centre is the main court complex in Sydney, containing local courts, state government courts, and the district court of New South Wales. The Downing Centre was originally built as a department store in 1908. The building was later converted into a court complex, which opened in 1985. It was named the Downing Centre after former Attorney General and Minister for Justice Reg Downing. The Downing Centre contains seven levels of courtrooms. The local courts are situated on levels 4 and 5, and the district courts are on the lower ground levels up to level 3. The Downing Centre is situated opposite Museum station.

This beautiful building the Downing Centre Court Complex. It was built in 1908, and traded as the market for his department store until 1980 when it was taken over by Grace Brothers, who traded here until 1983. It was made into a court complex in 1985, and in 1991 was named the Downing Centre after the former attorney general administer of justice Rich Downing. It comprises seven levels of courts. The district courts are from levels lower ground to level three and the local courts are level four and level five. Our office is Sydney Criminal Lawyers® and is located here across the road from the Downing Centre; 267 Castlereagh Street Sydney. If you're coming here by car we offer free visitor parking. Alternatively if you travel by public transport Museum station is a short distance from the Downing Centre and just a little distance down the road is Town Hall station. So this is the Downing Centre Court Complex. It's an important building because it is entered into the register of the National Estate. So it's a culturally significant building, a lot of cases are run through the Downing Centre Courts. The cases range from drink driving, AVOs, and so on, up until district court trials for serious crime. That's the Downing Centre Court Complex.

Experience all of the sights and sounds as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring Whitehall to Parliament Square. The route begins close to Horse Guards Parade, moving south down Whitehall onto Parliament Street, ending at Parliament Square.
Sights seen along the tour include the Earl Haig Memorial, The Women of World War II monument, Downing Street, police on horseback, The Cenotaph memorial, red telephone boxes, Westminster Station, statues of George Canning, Ian Christian Smuts, David Lloyd George and Sir Winston Churchill, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!

The former lead detective on the William Tyrrell case has broken his silence outside court after pleading not guilty to surveillance charges.
"I've pleaded not guilty to all four charges. Those charges relate specifically to me carrying out my duties investigating the disappearance of William Tyrrell. Downing Centre
The Downing Centre is a major courthouse complex in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It features state government courts; Local Courts, the District Court of New South Wales, and a law library known as the Downing Centre Library. The Downing Centre forms part of the Department of Attorney General and Justice and, as such, houses court services and Sheriffs offices.
The Downing Centre is located in the Sydney central business district, on Liverpool Street, between Elizabeth Street and Castlereagh Street. It sits opposite the south-west corner of Hyde Park and Museum railway station. A subway links the Downing Centre directly to Museum Station from an entrance on Castlereagh Street.
History
The Downing Centre was originally constructed in 1908 as retail premises for Mark Foy's. It was originally a two-storey building designed by Arthur Anderson of the architectural firm McCredie & Anderson.
In 1924, Spain Cosh & Epslin Architects, in consultation with Ross & Rowe Architects, were paid to design eight alterations and additions. The building was originally intended to cover the whole block but was not completed. It is now an eight-storey building with portions of the original building remaining intact. The façade employs the classical orders using white bricks with yellow faience work to the sills and cornices. Two corner towers with yellow pinnacles surmount the building. Art Nouveau influences are evident in the external detailing. Mark Foy's closed in 1980 and was taken over by Grace Bros. who traded there until 1983.

The Downing Centre was originally built as a department store in 1908. The building was later converted into a court complex, which opened in 1985. It was named the Downing Centre after former Attorney General and Minister for Justice Reg Downing. The Downing Centre contains seven levels of courtrooms. This beautiful building the Downing Centre Court Complex. It was built in 1908, and traded as the market for his department store until 1980 when it was taken over by Grace Brothers, who traded here until 1983. It was made into a court complex in 1985, and in 1991 was named the Downing Centre after the former attorney general administer of justice Rich Downing. It comprises seven levels of courts. The district courts are from levels lower ground to level three and the local courts are level four and level five. Our office is Sydney Criminal Lawyers® and is located here across the road from the Downing Centre; 267 Castlereagh Street Sydney. If you're coming here by car we offer free visitor parking. Alternatively if you travel by public transport Museum station is a short distance from the Downing Centre and just a little distance down the road is Town Hall station. So this is the Downing Centre Court Complex. It's an important building because it is entered into the register of the National Estate. So it's a culturally significant building, a lot of cases are run through the Downing Centre Courts. The cases range from drink driving, AVOs, and so on, up until district court trials for serious crime. That's the Downing Centre Court Complex.

A first-person perspective London walk tour from Whitehall to Parliament Square, including outside the entrance to Downing Street - home to the British Prime Minister.
Experience all of the sights and sounds as Watched Walker (yes, I’m talking about myself in the third person) takes us on a walking tour through the streets of London, featuring Whitehall to Parliament Square. The route begins close to Horse Guards Parade, moving south down Whitehall onto Parliament Street, ending at Parliament Square.
Sights seen along the tour include the Earl Haig Memorial, The Women of World War II monument, Downing Street, police on horseback, The Cenotaph memorial, red telephone boxes, Westminster Station, statues of George Canning, Ian Christian Smuts, David Lloyd George and Sir Winston Churchill, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.
And in each video I've hidden a blinking eye, can you spot it? (It could appear more than once). In addition to the blinking eye, I've also added the Watched Walker logo to various scenes–it could be on buildings, vehicles or any other objects, so keep an eye out for it too!

Downing Centre
The Downing Centre is a major courthouse complex in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It features state government courts; Local Courts, the District Court of New South Wales, and a law library known as the Downing Centre Library. The Downing Centre forms part of the Department of Attorney General and Justice and, as such, houses court services and Sheriffs offices.
The Downing Centre is located in the Sydney central business district, on Liverpool Street, between Elizabeth Street and Castlereagh Street. It sits opposite the south-west corner of Hyde Park and Museum railway station. A subway links the Downing Centre directly to Museum Station from an entrance on Castlereagh Street.
History
The Downing Centre was originally constructed in 1908 as retail premises for Mark Foy's. It was originally a two-storey building designed by Arthur Anderson of the architectural firm McCredie & Anderson.
In 1924, Spain Cosh & Epslin Architects, in consultation with Ross & Rowe Architects, were paid to design eight alterations and additions. The building was originally intended to cover the whole block but was not completed. It is now an eight-storey building with portions of the original building remaining intact. The façade employs the classical orders using white bricks with yellow faience work to the sills and cornices. Two corner towers with yellow pinnacles surmount the building. Art Nouveau influences are evident in the external detailing. Mark Foy's closed in 1980 and was taken over by Grace Bros. who traded there until 1983.
