    Why do some Patients experience upstaging of disease? Is it related to use of Unconfined Power Morcellation? It has already been identified as a problem for patients & is banned by due to spread of removed tissue

    Excellent letter outlining the need for informed patient consent prior to morcellation. However, 'it may be time for fibroid management to be concentrated in specialist fibroid centres, much like endometriosis surgery' isn't strictly accurate, as many endo patients will confirm.

    We also talk a lot about advocating for yourself with doctors if you know something isn’t right. Something we don’t do enough of - men and women. Thanks for having me guys. Ps really loved talking to men about this.

    I personally think it’s far more than 1 in 10, so many women I know have it and when you consider how long the diagnosis takes (average of 7 years, although for a lot of women I know it’s over 20) Also so many women think painful periods are normal so don’t even look into it

    There’s also an increase in patients having New Pain & Iatrogenic Endometrial like tissue growth outside the womb, after, minimal surgeries ie laparoscopic myomectomy & hysterectomy aka Perineal leiomyomatosis disseminata. Needs Review & Audit
