Someone please tell Sh*v Aroor that no one is interested in reading his terrible takes on anything, least of all on fruits. Yuck.

I miss dressing up for work, actually seeing my co-workers, and the idea of conversations that is not prefaced with "Hey, do you have a minute?" So done, ugh.

I start a new job in June and god I can't wait to head back to an actual office. As someone who started working from home way before Covid hit, I've been at my wits' end trying to keep the motivation up, and pretending that my mental health isn't affected by working in isolation

As a north Indian kid growing up in Bombay, I always grew up with the impression (trickled down from my parents) that Tamilians were educated and progressive... realising only when I was in college how the deep the caste hegemony actually runs.

While most, if not all, Indian states are inherently casteist, the systemic ways in which it continues to fester in TN shocks me.

Sure. In brief, Aurangzeb's name is a dog whistle to signal that it is acceptable to hate and use violence against present-day Muslims. Here's a bit more on how it works --

How many votes did Brinda Karat and her party get in Delhi? Did that stop her from standing in front of the bulldozer and raising her voice? That’s the difference between treating political activism as a career choice and championing it as a social movement.

I swear to god if I could just slap N*vika and ship her to a place with no internet and just her warped mind for company...what an absolutely rotten excuse for a human being!

India is highly vulnerable to climate change. Here's how some newspaper frontpages* covered the IPCC report on how to tackle the crisis 🧵... (*yes there's a LOT going on in S. Asia and reporters who filed great stories don't make these choices)

Still thinking about the random man at Bandstand who interrupted my otherwise peaceful walk to tell me I have a very "athletic structure" 🤮 🤮 and attempted to make small talk. And had the audacity to ask me where I'm going when I picked up the pace and said I'm not interested

Grotesquely funny that a movie series that by all historical precedent should have foisted a phalanx of child star monsters onto the world produced the most normal and adjusted ones of all time, meanwhile the maker of said material has gone insane.

Period leaves are crucial, but while we're at it can we acknowledge the absolute monster that pms is? I want nothing more than to lie in bed, read, occasionally cry, and eat cake.
