I don't know. Here's one thing about Serbian mentality: we are incredibly spiteful. More so than purely nationalistic: most Serbs hate Serbia. The most popular attitude right now isn't "let's make Serbia great again!", it's "I want to run away as far as possible from this cursed wretched shithole because I am tired and disillusioned." So it does bother me when this opinion that most Serbs actually want to go to war again to establish Greater Serbia becomes so popular and widespread. Well on Reddit at least, I imagine people IRL don't even think about Serbia. But Greater Serbia here is like if I accused the Brits of wanting to re-establish the British Empire. The support for it is such a non-factor, it's such an extreme minority of Serbian nationalists. Go to a random Serb, say Greater Serbia, and they'll just look at you funny for talking about that radical nonsense.

As far as its relationship to the West, it's that spite again: Serbs see the West as hypocrites who talk down to everybody from their high horse while completely not practising what they preach. Then they think "oh you're telling me I have to do this or that will happen? How about fuck you, take your high-handed attitude and shove it up your arse." Doesn't matter who's right or wrong, a lot of people are disillusioned because they think that no matter what they do, the West will think of them as backwater animals anyway, because that's what a lot of them do to minorities in their own countries and non-Westerners in general, so might as well tell them to get fucked.

Whereas Russia doesn't do that, Russia isn't "arrogant" to them, Russia doesn't judge them, so even if they actually hate Russia, they'll lean towards them out of sheer spite and revolt.

When it comes to the 90's wars, it's a similar thing: it's not that Serbs don't recognise their crimes, it's that they get very bitter when crimes against Serbian civilians get ignored, their perpetrators get away with it, and any attempt to bring them up gets met with "But what about your far more heinous crimes" so they once again push back, tell everyone to fuck off, and refuse to "play." That spite is the only shred of victory they could salvage out of that whole clusterfuck. And the more they're villified, the more they'll push back because anything other than that would be seen as kissing those "arrogant cunts' boot". Until so many years pass that it all becomes irrelevant, I suppose.

As much as they can get when only young people vote for them, which is about 14% in parliamentary and 19% in presidential. That's by far better than any other opposition. Openly nationalistic parties get 2%.

Nego je l ti stvarno misliš da većina Srba oće opet da ratuje za neku veliku Srbiju, da l si normalan ili je ovo samo radi karme

Of all those laughing stock people I mentioned earlier, he is literally the biggest one.

Even people who genuinely vote for Vučić think that Aleksandar Vulin is a complete moron so if you really believe that his statements represent the opinion of the people then that's just funny.

If that opinion is that this "Greater Serbia" nonsense is the consensus among Serbs then that opinion is completely wrong

The people you're describing are a laughing stock minority in Serbia, not the majority of people like this sub seems to think.

Bosnia declared independence after the collapse of Yugoslavia, Serbia didn't like that so they invaded.

This makes it sound like Bosnia was a united monolith rather than being torn on three sides. Most of Serbs fighting in Bosnia were from Bosnia. Republika Srpska was supported by Serbia but they're still not the same thing.

Perspective on what? Examples of what? How exactly do you expect anyone to answer such a silly vague question with anything other than "If you actually want perspective, then visit the country and experience it for yourself."

Serbia has a far larger dependence on the EU than Russia lmao

Getting cut off from Russia would be nothing compared to getting cut off from Germany

A lot of people don't understand that
