Robert Whittaker: Israel's UFC 276 Fight "Wasn’t What He Sold It To Be", Talks Marvin Vettori! by stayhappystayblessed in MMA

Bro it's not just the judges that don't understand this, the overwhelming majority of people on this sub don't even understand this. Hard to keep judges accountable for shitty decisions when most fans don't even know how to judge/score a fight correctly based on the most up to date ruleset.

Kamaru Usman on Georges St-Pierre saying he’d try to take his back if they ever fought: “I would love to see him try. I asked for that fight once upon a time. I love Georges as a champion and what he did for the sport. I asked for him, but that was a mountain Georges didn’t want to climb” by elguapo_34 in MMA

I love MMA, been following it religiously for 10 years, and the top guys obviously have sick physiques. But in terms of pure aesthetics, you're spot on. The only people downvoting you are troglodytes that don't understand how focused bodybuilding and consistent strict progressive overload will net you a MUCH better physique than the average mma fighter. Bodybuilders purely focus on muscular hypertrophy, whereas this is not even close to a training focus for an MMA fighter.

Crazy how many downvotes you're getting for this comment, lots of dumb/misinformed people on this sub.

I honestly love it when people early in my follow up process tell me that they aren't interested or that they simply accidentally enquired. Granted, I only deal with inbound FB and google leads (quality isn't consistent nor the greatest) but the people that flat out tell me they're not interested saves me so much time.

Wish people would just be more upfront and honest rather than pussyfooting around, but that's just the game we play.

Nice headphones on the right! Bang and Olufsen H95s, or the new SteelSeries headset? If it's the H95s, IMO they are the best wireless headphones on the market rn, have been enjoying mine for a while now!

Not sure how much these are in your currency but I would rec the Band & Olufsen H95. Currently own these, they are great.

Otherwise, would rec the Bose QC45 - not the greatest sound quality, but very comfortable with decent battery life.

Would second the atom stack, currently use an atom + khadas tone board for my 800S. Even with a -5.5DB pre-amp applied through EQ APO, they are comfortably driven on low gain.

So I’d say these headphones are pretty good… by DellSalami in headphones

Nah, Spotify's 320kbps format is fine lmao, even at the HE1 level, vast majority if not all people would fail a blind test differentiating between the two imo. Placebo is very powerful, especially in this hobby.

Misinterpreting, fighters have to be in usada testing pool for a certain period of time before competing again. Obviously this rule doesn't apply to all fighters bc UFC favouritism

Finally pulled the trigger on the HD800S. by ferna182 in headphones

[–]SketchyChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just recently pulled the trigger on these for $1400 AUD (RRP here is $2899, they were on sale brand new for $2100).

Coming from an Ananda, the Hifiman headphones definitely have more sub-bass, and MAYBE better bass quality, but after EQ the HD800S is pretty much endgame for me. Instrument separation is better, and the soundstage is noticeably wider as well. Highly recommend EQing them! Adds more bass and body to the sound, and it's free!

Edit: When I say separation and soundstaging are wider, this is in comparison to the Ananda, not after EQing them

This is exactly mine and the above commenters point: regardless of his 'crusade' on fighter pay, he is still a total scumbag in my eyes due to his past actions.

#BREAKING: Aljamain Sterling's next title defense is being finalized vs. T.J. Dillashaw at #UFC279 🏆 by Mrstarzz in MMA

[–]SketchyChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'd have to agree to disagree.

My insane comment is how all these MMA fans bitch moan about bad judging whilst unironically thinking that TJ won that fight.

Definitely insane to me given the actual fucking criteria in which you're meant to judge a fight. If anyone judged that fight how you're meant to, there is no way on fucking earth tj gets the nod. Not made at you btw, this particular scoring scenario gets me heated hahaha

The only correct take regarding this fight. But 'mUh pReSsuRe' whilst getting outlanded, and having less effective striking and grappling. Actually insane to me that people think TJ won that fight lmao

They'll continue to downvote without looking into anything because the thought of them being utterly incorrect scares them. They're just as bad as people who shill $3K+ cables, and the main reason why beginners in this hobby waste money that could have been allocated to more important things. Stick with spotify, get a decent entry level dac/amp setup and just EQ your fucking headphones.

So many scum bag reviewers in this industry roping people into thinking they absolutely need to spend thousands of dollars to reach close to 'end game', this shit disgusts me.

[–]SketchyChicken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

*No difference

There's a reason why the VAST MAJORITY of these reviewers never do blind tests on the same source/equipment to tell the difference, because any 'difference in quality' is generally fucking placebo. Spotify 320kbps is all you need, as are the vast majority of well measuring entry level amps/dacs in the marketplace. So much bs in this hobby, and I'm still shocked that this is still one of the myths incessantly perpetuated.

Is the EPOS H6 PRO (Open) better than the Sennheiser HD560S for video games? by NailEconomy in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]SketchyChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own the HD58X, Beoplay H95, the Hifiman Ananda and also the H6 Pro. Not sure what you went with, but I'm personally really enjoying the H6 PRO opens. Soundstage is great, and a lot of music really has a '3D' effect to it. The convenience of a detachable magnetic microphone is also massive, one of the reasons it's my main headset at the moment.
