So...you raid with your classic friends for 3 hours a week, then spend the rest of your life in DF. It's not that hard man.

If you only have a couple of nights a week to play, 1 night could be a big chunk of your available time

I'm actually in this boat, and this is why I cannot raid.

They were pretty obsessed with this kind of stuff in the 60s and 70s. I've read a couple non fiction books on this subject recently (Blind man's bluff, and project Azorian) and it is very interesting.

It is my opinion that in the later 60s, the skunk works were (was?) convinced that drones and satellites were the way of the future, and interest for subsea bases waned. Lockheed produced the D 21 recon drone, launched from an SR 71, and had several successful missions although they're still mostly classified. Lockheed is well known to have also contributed to naval technologies so the aerial drone technology is relevant.

Just this morning I was reading about Russias "poseidon" nuclear powered, nuclear warheaded submarine drone. Since it is nuclear powered, its range and operational readiness are virtually unlimited. Reading about this has me wondering what kind of susbsea black projects the USA has now....

My father in law recently died from interstitial lung disease after a lifetime of not caring about dust.

edit - Since some have asked "how old?" I will say, he did die at a somewhat old age of 75 but I know a lot of us would prefer not to die at that age. Further, the lead-in to his death was miserable. He had to abandon so much of his prior active outdoor life because of breathing problems. The last several months were all just trips back and forth from ER/ICU and various levels of home palliative care.

I have a friend who's father was a life long woodworker. Didnt care about dust, died of lung cancer. Did not smoke.

Are there people who just throw away all food that isn't immediately eaten?

I have literally never seen or even heard of such behavior even amongst my friends who are insanely wealthy.

There are a ton of people who put their leftovers in the fridge, never touch them, then throw them away 2 weeks later. I know a lot of people who wont eat leftovers, some of them dont even cook which rubs me the wrong way. Doesnt cook, doesnt eat leftovers, doesnt clean the kitchen at all. I couldn't live with myself.

This is an oversimplification to be sure, but I think theres a valid point here. Young men who are unstable who cannot form healthy relationships with women will sometimes become suicidal, homicidal, or resort to sexual violence. For these guys, it's a best case scenario to play video games all day and watch porn.

Porn is what got them there in the first place. They think they can just become a pizza boy and the local hot girl™️ will invite him and have sex when he delivers. In real life, incels have to learn that women take effort, we arent like porn where you take us out when you need us and then put us back in your pocket.

And that is exactly why they'll give up, and return to porn. They dont have to play your game.
