Update: alright all I’m signing off for the night. Thank you SO much to everyone who participated, and sent encouraging words, and even those who came with harsh words about the music industry.
This was an absolute blast, and a major confidence booster. Please listen to Yard Act. They’re a killer band that’s pretty freakin unique, and we’re so stoked to be playing with them.

Hi Reddit - I'm Charlie, from the San Diego band King Whisker.
After playing in bands since high school, I finally just booked my first major gig, opening for the UK band Yard Act on their international tour. Built our own recording studio out (You can see the whole thing on our Instagram), and are hoping to tour our album soon.
Ask me anything, about being in a band that's trying to make it, recording an album, or simply "are you really happy right now?!" to which the answer is "YUP"!
I'm also seeing King Gizzard tonight for the first time - they inspired us to build our own studio and record our own album, so today is just a great freakin day!!! EEEEEE!

On my journey from the Simpsons to Infinity, I met great people, such as the keyboardist from No Doubt, created a book called Mind Over Machine, designed concept art for Disney’s Beauty & the Beast live action remake, and more. You can find my most successful print, where I depict a new perspective on Van Gogh’s Starry Night, here. I’m doing regular Instagram lives where I create art and have transformative conversation at 6:30PM PST Wednesdays and Fridays, and additional lives sporadically throughout the week. We’ve practiced veterinary medicine together for over 15 years in America’s heartland, Hartington, Nebraska. We met each other while in school at Kansas State University, and met not only our future business partner, but partners in life too! Now when Winter blizzards, Spring flooding or Summer heatwaves wreak havoc on the farms of Nebraska, we’re there to tend to whatever mother nature throws at the herd. Whether it’s celebrating the birth of a proudly prancing calf, or holding the hand of a neighbor who needs to lay their loyal farm dog to rest, we feel blessed to be there for every creature in the countryside.
Dr. Ben here - I’m a homegrown Nebraskan and have been saving animals since before I could walk. I grew up around my dad’s veterinary practice and quickly earned the nickname, “The Cattle Whisperer.” When I’m not busy taking our sons Charlie and Chase on a farm call to teach them the family trade, I enjoy watching them play basketball.
Dr. Erin here - I’m a Nebraska transplant from a small New York town called Westport, I’ve always been a Midwest girl at heart. Whether I was riding horses or saving injured wildlife, I knew at a young age that I wanted to be a veterinarian. You may not know it from the coveralls, but I have a unique sense of style and love to design and restore historic properties with Ben in our spare time.

We are two psychotherapists who have experience working in a variety of settings, including private practice. We both work at Enteave Counseling in Austin, TX., and offer online therapy.
While we cannot provide counseling through reddit, we are happy to answer questions you have about anxiety, LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, general mental health, or counseling (in-person and online). We will be answering questions today from 9am to approximately 1pm CST.

I specialize in helping clients with anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ issues, and stress management. I work with clients of all ages, but primarily with teens and young adults. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness/meditation, self-compassion techniques, stress-management, and self-care techniques to help clients learn to manage their symptoms and live life optimally!??? When I’m not working with my clients, I like to spend time outdoors, play with my dog Stevie Ray, watch Friends reruns, and practice mindfulness meditation.

2When I was 14 years old, I found out I should have been born male, but I have a genetic condition that stops me from responding to male hormones. Externally I appear female, but genetically I have XY chromosomes. Learning this really caused me a lot of mental distress, especially as I grew up in a religious household in a fairly conservative part of the United States. Ask me anything!
My proof is medical paperwork.
Edit: I have to go to sleep now - very tired. I'm happy to answer anymore questions in the morning, and I'll try to get to as many as I can. Thank you to everyone who showed interest in this post. I hope I raised a little awareness about intersex conditions.
