    Why this country is called Bharata? Puranas and other works in Sanskrit give various derivations of the word 'Bharata'. Let us have a look at a few of them here.

    A Muslim cleric is required for certification of Halal. The Govt of India in the APEDA act required this certification for all meat. This took business away from traditional Hindu butchers to Muslim butchers and funded the Islamic ecosystem. How can a secular state do this?

    That is incorrect. In mass production facilities they play some prayers on loud speaker in butcheries. But it is true for local butchers.

    अवर्ण usually means the letter 'अ'. There is a special case when अवर्ण can mean lower varna. अवर्णः = न + वर्णः = अप्रशस्तः वर्णः = निन्दितवर्णः। But, I have not yet come across the usage of the word अवर्ण in this sense in the smriti texts.

    Savarna and Avarna in the sense of higher and lower varna are not usually found in Dharmasastra. In Smritis, सवर्ण means 'belonging to same varna' as in Manusmriti 3.4 - उद्वहेत द्विजो भार्यां सवर्णाम्. It is only in modern times that these terms are used in regional languages.

    "SAVARNA" doesn't mean Brahmins and Kshatriya only ! Savarna means those who are the part of CHATURVARNA ( first 4 Varna). So, (Savarna= Brahmin+ Kshatriya+ Vaishya+ Shudra). While those who are SCs/STs today are called AVARNA(not part of CHATURVARNA)!

    1/2.. Typical faaltu tweet by a Kollykudan.. Get this If Mansiya is an "Atheist" why does she want to dance at a temple? Bharatanatyam is a devotional art.. not Mujra.. there are places like Jantar Mantar/Shingu Border for such pursuits.

    Why should an artiste be Hindu to perform at a temple ? Bharatanatyam dancer Mansiya VP is muslim by birth and atheist by choice. Barring her is bigotry. If a big corporate donates to the Irinjalakuda koodalmanikyam temple, will they ask their religion?

    Being a Brahmin girl is tough in this society where Dalits want to marry for social justice, where Mμslims want to marry for conversion, where govt gives money for intercaste marriage as if we are toys. If this is a privilege then, We Never asked for it.
