    We’re thankful for instructors like Ian, who teaches CPR, AED and first aid classes at . Because of them, students are equipped with the skills to help others in need! ❤️

    Ian teaches first aid classes and says the training is important because, “You CAN help somebody. It will give you the skills and confidence to help until the Emergency Medical Service arrives.” Ian has put his training to use - more than once:

    James Finklea, a Red Cross trained lifeguard and blood donor is helping save lives in many ways. He lifeguards at a local YMCA to help keep people safe poolside and is an avid blood donor, who has donated 113 units of blood, platelets and plasma. Way to go, James! 👏🏿👏🏼👏🏾

    Chris broke 23 bones, his lungs collapsed and his heart stopped after a motorcycle accident. He credits hands-only CPR for saving his life. He paid it forward by teaching his first Red Cross class a year later. Read more this :

    Marge was taking a water aerobics class when she went into cardiac arrest. Thanks to these 3️⃣ trained lifeguards, they were able to help save her life.

    Our favorite 🐧 Pedro and volunteers were working hard this spring break teaching kids how to prepare for and cope with emergencies. 💪🏼

    We had a great time sharing Spring Break with friends at ! Red Cross instructors taught our Prepare with Pedro 🐧 program at 6 clubs, training 250+ kids grades K-2 how to BE PREPARED & TAKE ACTION for home fires or local hazards. Request a program:

    “I have a personal understanding of how important it is to have blood on hand at hospitals—especially for patients who need blood right away!" Thank you, Shari! ❤️

    In 1992 Shari Lewis was rushed to the emergency room with a GI bleed. She received two units of blood and it saved her life. In 1995, as soon as she was eligible, she began donating blood, and she has continued donating ever since! Now it’s your turn:
