My father in law has a piece of land with a dry creek on it. He's getting older, so we'd like to dig out a few steps on one side of the creek to ease crossing. It's pretty steep โ€” sorry, don't have any photos โ€” but probably doesn't require more than 5 steps.

Does anybody know a good online guide or video for something like this? Can we just dig out steps and reinforce with stones or lumber?
