Multiple news reports out of Pakistan confirming this horrific story. We honor this young life by continuing to fight for all of the young minority girls of Pakistan. Hundreds are abducted every year and have no recourse. Read the report: hinduamerican.org/save-pakistan-

Excellent thread by eminent Kashmiri Hindu scholar and Padma Shri, Professor Subhash Kak. #TheKashmirFiles

In the theatre where I saw Kashmir Files, a tall young American man a few rows down from us, let out a terrifying scream near the end of the movie and ran out. He was crying he couldn't take the pain, but he must have crept back in for I saw him again as the movie ended. 1)

India is the place of the greatest storybook ever written (Yoga Vasishtha), the greatest epics, subtle wisdom, deep spiritual and artistic devotion and the raw courage of jauhar. The purpose of art is to connect the viewer to the freedom and infinity within each individual. 5)

A different movie that captured deep pain is Ingmar Bergman’s Cries and Whispers, a movie on the horrors of emptiness, of betrayal of oneself. This one captures the naked faces of evil, deceit, and betrayal, all hidden under the mask of ordinariness. 2)

#KashmirFiles shames many: #Pakistan-armed terrorists; India’s well-funded #Islamist lobby; callous bureaucrats; complicit #KashmiriPandits in media & politics; & #Bollywood filmmakers who whitewashed ethnic cleansing of a community that gave the #Valley its intellectual vibrancy

Yet some people are so full of hate, they will not only deny the ethno-religious cleansing of Kashmiri Hindus and assert Islamophobia, they will continue to pour salt into the still suffering wounds of Girija Tickoo's niece. #TheKashmirFiles #RightToJustice twitter.com/saumyatandon/s…

I still get chills when I remember in my childhood I used to feel someone is there at window during night time &about to shoot me. I used to sit in corners to avoid windows. I still remember my sleepless nights of my childhood. It takes a lot of time to face your fears.

Telling a untold true story is not about about hate. Thanks @vivekagnihotri for bringing this story which should have been told decades ago. Don’t let your political alignment make u unempathetic towards the tragedy of #kashmiripandits @prakashraaj . twitter.com/prakashraaj/st…

Your not telling this story before is perfectly understandable. It takes a conducive, compassionate, welcoming, humble, all-ears governments at the centre & state for the victims to really blurt out their heartwrenching incidents. सनने वाला कोई नहीं तो मज़ाक बनना मशकिल नहीं.

Cancel culture may be new to the West, but it's been practiced for decades by India’s self-hating, mind-colonized establishment that still carries water for the Euro-American elite. The web of brazen falsehoods used to hide facts is brought out powerfully in the movie. 5)

I just got called an ‘Hindu extremist’ by an NRI relative because I mentioned that I’m planning to visit Kashi Vishwanath & Ayodhya. This hate & hypocrisy towards Hindus blows my mind! If a Muslim said he/she wants to visit Mecca Medina, the reaction would be so different!

The spotter didn't see my uncle turn around to go home. At the same time of 9:30 am and only a few yards from my uncle's home, 26 year old Anil Bhan, a Kashmiri Hindu who was soon to be married, also started walking to Haba Kadal for his job, also wearing a leather jacket. 5/n

The terrorists acknowledged to having killed the wrong person. Anil's sacrifice is the only reason my mama ji is still alive today. But nobody––Anil's mom, my mama ji––should have to bear such pain. 7/n

Bitta Karate saw the Kashmiri Hindu man in a leather jacket at the Habal Kadal intersection, believing it was my uncle. He walked from behind, drew his pistol, & fired at point blank range. You can never forget a mother's cries at the site of her dead son in a pool of blood. 6/n

The spotter saw my uncle leave the house at 9:30 am on 16 February 1990, wearing a leather jacket. Bitta was given this information and got his pistol ready. Suddenly, my uncle remembered it was his elder brother's birthday, so he went back home to participate in the pooja. 4/n

After Bitta returned from terror training in PoK, he was given orders to assassinate my uncle. Bitta had another JKLF terrorist watch my uncle leave his home for work, walking through an intersection in Haba Kadal. The plan was to shoot my uncle from behind at close range. 3/n

Before Farooq Ahmed Dar became a psychopath terrorist, he was just another kid with a pet name of Bitta who used to play cricket in Srinagar with my family. My uncle even gave him money for school. 2/n
