    Our plows are out across the state clearing roads during the snow storm. This video is from Weedsport. As you can see, our plows like space. Please give them room to work. The SAFEST place to drive during winter weather is 6 car lengths BEHIND a plow.

    Precipitation is beginning to spread west to east across the region. Any rain or mix to start will quickly change to all snow this morning. The snow will increase in intensity for the late morning into the afternoon, and travel will be very difficult during this time.

    With a nationwide blood shortage, it is senseless to have outdated barriers that prevent people from donating blood. 's this week joined other states calling on to end its blood donation policy that discriminates against LGBTQ+ men.

    Though the clocks are springing ahead this weekend, winter isn't done with us yet. Another winter storm is set to blanket much of New York this weekend with significant snowfall. New Yorkers: you know the drill. Avoid unnecessary travel, watch local forecasts, and stay safe.

    The first South Asian woman elected in New York, Uma Sengupta was a leader who lived a life of service. Throughout her life, Uma supported those in need, including new immigrants and those in India facing water scarcity and education inequity. She will be greatly missed.
