Looks like I have some bad news for fans of unfunny let’s-player Felix “Pewdiepie” Kjellberg. During a livestream of PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, Kjellberg called another player a “fucking nigger” in a moment of frustration. Which is totally normal. Seriously. Who hasn’t done that?
Unfortunately this was after he was called out for his repeated use of Nazi imagery and a stunt in which he paid people to hold up a sign which said “Death to all Jews.” In fact it was that last controversy that led The Daily Stormer to briefly call itself “The world’s #1 PewDiePie Fansite.”
So is Kjellberg a racist or a gigantic freaking idiot? Probably both. But because the Internet is a cesspool of stupidity, he still has his defenders. Mostly gamers who, for whatever reason, like this hack and dismissed the racial slur as an innocent if stupid mistake:
